the ACCIDENTAL EXTRADIMENSIONAL TOURIST meme

This meme was inspired by those who wanted more memes in which posters are required to make a start up post.

This meme was inspired by those who wanted more memes in which posters are required to make a start up post.
Have you ever wanted to travel to another planet? Another REALITY? Even if this is something that has never crossed your mind, It's about to happen. For reals. A giant wormhole has opened up beneath you and dropped you elsewhere. You have no choice in what world you're heading to, or even where you'll be landing. Luckily (or unluckily) you'll be dropped near to a resident of the world who will have no choice but to play your tour guide and help you get to know your new home.
How it works
1. Post with your character. In the body include a little bit about where your character is, or what they are currently doing. You can write as little, or as much as you want! Just a simple sentence saying something like [John Doe is sitting in his office at the paper company goofing off and playing call of duty while his boss isn't looking.] is fine, or you could go into more detail and write a paragraph or two describing a key place in your world's canon to really set the scene for incoming tourists.
Try not leave your initial comment blank. This meme will probably work best if you set up a scene, no matter how short.
2. Find someone else who's world you are invading and post dropping in on them. Maybe you just opened a door and found yourself there, maybe you fell into a worm hole. Either way you are not where you were a moment ago.
optional: The wormhole might have handily provided you with the means to blend in to your new environment. If you find yourself hopping out into a school, you might be wearing an appropriate uniform, if you happen to fall out into a swords and sorcery type world you might find yourself sporting plate armor or wizard robes, and if you find yourself on an alien planet... well you might look just like the aliens who live there.
3. Remember that with this sort of meme it's probably best to tag outside of canonmates. But, either way, have fun and try not to kill the tourists!

Garcia Hotspur ♦ Shadows of the Damned
Garcia is technically here to rescue his girlfriend from the king of demons, he's just taking a brief break to regain his energy and heal his wounds. Because in hell the booze doesn't destroy your liver. It actually unkills you. The quickest way to recovery here is totally a bottle of tequila. For reals. ]
Pyramid Head | Silent Hill 2
((ooc: please tell me if you want the survival horror special where pyramid head is OUT TO GET YOU... or if you want him actually being a tour guide iddk.))
Ophelia 'O' Sage ♥ Savages ♥ OTA
Sahu ♦ Wake Up Deadman
It's a very dark gloomy place.
Luckily for you you one of this place's most friendly and welcoming inhabitants was out on a supply run. Or rather he's too stupid to just run off and hide in one of the buildings in case this new face is a zombie hunter here to remurder some corpses. Yeah, this place you've landed? Kind of one of the biggest zombie settlements around. Don't worry, the zombies here won't eat you. They're actually pretty nice if you can stand the smell. Though most of the world thinks otherwise. ]
Hey! What are ya doing standing around? It's kinda dangerous out here tonight.
[ Sahu readjusted the bandages on his face as he jogged up towards the unfamiliar person. The hunter robots still sounded pretty far off but you couldn't be too safe around here. ]

2P!France (Francis Bonnefoy) / 2P Hetalia / OTA
It's just France. Granted, it's a slightly less...bright France, but other than that, it's the same France you'll have come to know and love. The only difference is, if you're used to the actual nation being a bright, cheerful personality with sunny-blond hair and bright blue eyes...prepare for surprise.
Because the man you are about to encounter is not that France.
Seated outside an establishment with no regard to anyone else is a man dressed in a deep purple button-up shirt with black slacks and brown loafers. His hair hangs messily around his face, as if he's brushed it maybe once today to get it into the limp hang he desires. His beard, while trimmed, comes across as faintly more than stubble and as he sits there, smoking his cigarette to the filter, his eyes are just barely visible through a half-lidded gaze of boredom, the mauve orbs flicking periodically out to the pedestrians. He's just people watching while he relaxes, and never holds a gaze long enough to be awkward.
Once he finishes the cigarette, he puts it out and pours himself a glass of wine from the bottle at his table, swirling it once, bringing the flute to his nose and giving a brief sniff, then sipping at it with the same degree of boredom he's regarding everything else.]
Kamui || X || OTA
Many of the students seem more somber than one would expect, security has been heightened, and if you were to step outside of the campus, you would be greeted with utter destruction. Most of the city -what used to be a lively Tokyo- has been destroyed, and much is underwater. The apocalypse is on it's way, and the campus is the area's only true safe-haven.
In a gazebo hidden away on the campus is a small high school student, alone with his schoolbooks and drills spread across the table in front of him. He's not paying attention to them at all -in fact, they haven't even been touched- and is instead entirely zoned out, thinking too much, a frown playing at his lips. Really, now... it's the end of the world, and homework is the last thing the little savior cares about.

Nicholas St. North ♦ Rise of the Guardians
You might not be going unnoticed for much longer though as a big man in red with an utterly splendid beard is walking right towards you. He seems to be distracted by telling some of the hairy guys what to do so a collision may become unavoidable if you're not quick enough... ]
Petros (counterpart to Quicksilver) | Marvel 1602 | OTA
Unless you mind monsters, of course, in which case the massive, saurian horror lumbering along the beach might be an issue. Though the scrawny young man not ten feet in front of it hasn't bothered to react to the thing.]
Amaterasu ☼ Okami
[It's green, open, and lush. What isn't is worn by the footprints of many travelers with rocks placed as footholds. The ocean can be seen lapping at the white sands below the cliff. Rabbits spring through the undergrowth, deer calmly munching on grass while wild horses gallop passed. Wild boar can be heard snorting with their piglets in this land mixing the forest, mountain, and ocean.]
[Should one look up, a white wolf can be spotted upon the cliff, fur luminescent. Her forepaws are draped over the face, but they're pulled back as it rises, eyes focused on you at your arrival. They're hard to see, but it appears to have red markings-- or do you not believe in gods and spirits? No matter, it looks like it may be coming down.]
Option 2 -
[The wind howling for a minute before it settles. It seems you have landed in the North, but it isn't a frozen wasteland as cranes stand on icy banks and spear fish in the river. Caves echo the snores of hibernating bears and red pandas make themselves known by bounding in and out of snow banks. Still, if you're seeking warmth, there's a large and brilliantly glowing Sakura tree that's still in full bloom somehow. It's aura releases a spring time warmth, capable of sheltering from the cold. Should you reach its roots dipping into the frozen lake, you should be able to climb up.]
[Be aware that you have company in the form of a sizable wolf with white fur and red markings. Curled up and slumbering on the bank and mostly buried in fresh powder, it shifts and yawns as it sits up, aware of your presence.]

[While North is walking towards her, she has just spotted the elves. Amaterasu is curious about them while they, in turn, are confused about her. She's sniffing at several, not paying much heed to the jolly man about to knock into her.]

And then he saw the dinosaur. And the weirdometer readings went through the roof.
Hooooooly shit.
Well that other guy over there didn't seem freaked out. He was dressed kinda funny too. Some sort of fantasy cosplay? ]
Hey! Is this a movie set? I'm kinda lost, sorry.

This wasn't the first time that something strange happened to Atoli upon logging into The World’s delta server, nor was it, if she really thought about it, likely to be the last. However, despite all of the peculiarities involved in the MMO and the viruses that had begun to recently plague it, being transported somewhere entirely foreign was new - foreign and filled with the sensations that a computer game couldn't ordinarily convey to a player: taste, touch, scent. She could taste the salt in the air from the ocean, hear the sound of waves as they crashed into the beach and receded back out again, feel the heat of the sun overhead and the splatter of warm water droplets carried upon the wind as it stirred her hair and clothing.
It was as exhilarating as it was frightening to the girl. The latter emotion steadily growing in strength as it dawned upon her that she couldn't detect her real body, fear worming through her veins to coil uncertainly within her gut. The sensations coming through her character sprite Atoli were as real as they had been upon the AIDA server and the thought of being trapped back within that mirrored game server was utterly terrifying. True, she was stronger now than she had been back then but how would she be able to escape on her own? Where was Haseo? Or Miss Pi? Or anyone else?
With one hand pressed against her breast, her fingers tightly curled into a fist, and the other holding steady the curiously large, white circular hat adorning her head, she began picking her way along the beach she had suddenly found herself upon - her golden heels sinking deep into the wet sand with every step.
"Um..."
She's not even sure who to call for to ask for help. None of the gauges or menus that were part of The World’s user interface were present: no member address list, no health bars, flash mail inboxes, nothing. Nothing to indicate that she was even part of an online game. Was she even in The World anymore?
"Hello?" She called out, her voice high pitched and nervous. "Is there - is there anyone there? Haseo?"
Her head jerked from side to side as she surveyed her surroundings and she moved further away from the encroaching tide in an attempt to keep her stockings dry (never mind the sand that was already caking her heels inside and out). She didn't see anyone that looked like they could help her - a few animals over the cliff ahead of her, rabbits, horses and the like, but that wasn't exactly helpful. Located some distance above her, she almost missed the white wolf upon the cliff for the glare of the sun overhead. It wasn't until the creature had shifted its paws from its face that she became aware of it - the movement catching her attention.
It was certainly much larger than any lucky animal she’d come across thus far in The World, but the indistinct red markings that she could see from her standpoint were unlike anything that could possibly be found in the wild (though it could have just as easily been a trick of the light or perhaps leftover gore from a previous meal, yikes).
When it became apparent that the creature was watching her, at least that’s what it looked like it was doing, Atoli became even more visibly nervous - the hand at her chest moved to clutch the front of her dress, the other tightening its grip upon the fabric of her hat, and she gnawed her lower lip. Still, it was clear that she was trying hard to reign in her rampant worry, her expression resolving itself to something near determination (she wouldn't be afraid! She could stand her own ground!) and her back stiffening as she drew herself upright. She was a near max level Harvest Cleric - even if this was an AIDA server or some strange new part of The World, she could still rely upon her magic, or if that failed, her Avatar. She wouldn't let Haseo down, not after coming this far from where she’d started.
Swallowing back another wave of nervousness, she addressed the wolf, entirely uncertain if the creature could even understand her, “Excuse me, hello?”

No, wait. Back up. Beach?? What the hell was he doing on a beach??
He was in the hallway of the hotel, about to step into the room where he'd left Johnny Gill watching over Allen Walker, and yes, he'd sensed that something might be amiss as he'd reached for the doorknob, but not amiss in the sense of the hotel room having suddenly turned into a damn beach!
He looked around behind him, trying to find the door he'd come through, but there was only more beach.
Blinking as his eyes adjusted to the bright sunlight, he scanned the area around him and spotted just one person reclining a short distance off. He approached because, well, what the hell else was he going to do?
But it's not like he blended in with the surroundings however you cut it, what with the camel-colored overcoat he wore over his high-buttoned black and red uniform, or the sword that he wore at his hip, half concealed by the folds of the coat. He was as overdressed for the beach as the woman he approached was under-dressed for the weather. Anyway, hopefully she wouldn't dwell on the strangeness of his appearance and just answer his questions.
"Hey. You," he called out as he drew nearer. "Where is this place?"
[OOC: I'm coming in totally canon blind, so hopefully this will work okay (and by okay, I mean be the hilaribad comedy of errors that I imagine it might be).]

"Yes, what do you want? I don't have any money, or food with me!" She looked around the area, then back at him, then the area, and gave him a 'What the fuck are you on?' kind of a look.
"Laguna Beach, California. How come you don't know where you are? Wait, are you high? Did you take something like acid or something? Because that outfit, the sword especially is a bit dramatic for a beach." She said as she pulled a smoke out of the pack she had, and lit it. She really needed to hit her bowl to steady her nerves right now, but that would need to wait. This might not go to well, and she might need to keep her wits about her just in case.

"Californ--?" He was momentarily dumbstruck by that. He had been on the other side of an ocean and a few thousand miles of continent away, so how in the hell was he suddenly in California, a place that he'd barely even heard of outside the stray bits of news about some gold rush that had reached all the way to Europe and were too far removed from his interest for him to have paid any mind to.
As for the rest of what she said, it was practically Greek to him--high? something like acid??
Frowning, he watched her light her cigarette, and because he couldn't think of what else to say asked, "Who are you?" (Never mind that he hadn't answered a single of her questions. Actually, he seemed to simply be ignoring them.)
no subject
Especially after what happened to her with the Sanchez Cartel and being kidnapped, among other things. She trusted sudden weird strangers basically with nothing. He was certainly a weird stranger, and she kept thinking about that notion the most. Stranger danger.
"Look, maybe I can call a relative for you?" More like the cops, but she wouldn't say that out loud. "Do you know any of their numbers? I want to make sure they know you might have escaped," she said with a noticeable tension in her voice.
no subject
At least he seemed to realize it though, because he sighed and raised his hand to rub his neck.
The only thing he could think of was that this had something to do with the Ark and with the 14th Noah slumbering inside Walker's brain, waiting to awaken. But Allen, it seemed, hadn't commanded the Ark since fleeing from the Order, and Kanda didn't think he had done so now, either. It was the reason why he wanted to know this woman's identity, but the question also seemed increasingly irrelevant--if she was a Noah she would have attacked him already.
So instead he tried a different approach. "If this is California, then how did I get here? I was in England--in Leeds. Is there something about this beach that would have brought me here?"
Again, ignoring the questions, and along with them the irony that his whereabouts were indeed something that he was keeping secret at the moment. It was true that he had escaped from somewhere...for a certain value of "escaped," at least.

"Are you drunk maybe? Did the Renaissance Festival get out, and you were drunk and got lost? I mean, I can kind of see that happening. Maybe after the last joust you kept riding on your horse, fell and hit your head and wound up here? It is all I got!"
no subject
"I walked through a door in a hotel in England and I stepped out here." As completely fantastic as it sounded, he said it without a hint of humor, pointing back in the direction he came. "Over there. You can look at the footprints if you want.
"You don't know anything here that could do that?" It was a more practical question than what the hell a Renaissance Festival was, though he half wanted to ask that too.
no subject
"Uh, no thanks," because even if it might give her the tiniest inkling of a clue, it didn't explain much of anything. "Did you read a really good sci-fi novel and decided you wanted to troll the first person you came across? I don't...I'm...I've got fuckall of nothing!"
no subject
He was running out of ideas, and that just made him more and more aware that this was a pretty damn alarming situation to be in. He exhaled a frustrated huff.
"Che. Whatever.
"Look," he pulled the left lapel of his overcoat back to reveal more of the uniform beneath--it looked distinctly militaristic and very well made, not like a costume, but it also appeared to be missing something, like some sort of decoration had been removed from it--and pointed at an embroidered silver crest there. "Do you recognize this?"
no subject
"That? No, I've never seen anything like it in my life. What is it supposed to mean?" She could see that he was kind of worried, and he seemed relatively harmless at this point. Still, she had her guard up and her cellphone right in hand with the numbers 9-1 already secretly pressed into the panel. Worrying her bottom lip, she felt a little bad, but what could she do?
no subject
For his part, he could tell that the woman was more than a bit wary of him. He wasn't even surprised that he seemed intimidating to her--he was armed, after all, and she wasn't even properly clothed. But he also was no more going to bother trying to put her at ease than he was going to waste his time focusing on her attire. He knew that she was perfectly safe around him, but he didn't especially care whether or not she knew it too.
Besides, it was fast becoming apparent that she couldn't help him. He needed to start thinking of what he would do next. "I need to get back to England. Do you know how I can do that from here?" He was half expecting more mockery at that, but he had to ask anyway.
no subject
At his next question though, she stopped and sighed a bit. "Yeah, by plane. You'd need to call a cab, have them take you to LAX and get a plane out to England. Then make your way to Leeds from there. Want to use my cellphone to make the call?"
no subject
That confusion, however, was small potatoes to what she said next. Plane? Cab? LAX? Cellphone? The second of those he could parse, though in his mind it meant a horse-drawn carriage for hire. But as for the rest...he'd only ever heard "plane" used in a geometric sense, and even then he wouldn't have understood it very well.
"I... What?" he stared at her in confusion. "What's a plane...and a cell-phone?"

no subject
"Oh!" That's right, his golem! It had been off for so long, Kanda hadn't even thought about it, and though turning it on meant risking the Order learning where he was, at this point that didn't seem the worst choice.
Still holding the "cellphone" in one hand, he reached inside his coat with the other and pulled out what looked almost like an 8-ball. It was small and black with a white circle in the center...only this was an 8-ball with wings. Black bat wings to be exact. Kanda pushed a button on it, and it whirred into life, the wings flapping almost silently as it rose into the air and fluttered by his head.
Actually, the white circle looked a bit like some sort of mechanical eye or the shutter of a camera, opening now as Kanda turned to address it. "Hello, Headquarters? North America Branch? Is anyone receiving?"
no subject
"Seriously, what the ever loving fuck are you? You are so weird, I mean...where do you get your drugs? I'd like to try some, because this costume is just...wait a minute! Is this one of those steam-punk cosplays? I could get into that! I mean, really. Cause, wow...you are pretty impressive with all this detail and oddity." She was actually cheering up at that thought and wanted to really get information from him if this was indeed the case?
no subject
He watched the golem for a long second, waiting to see if a voice would come through it (none did) before swearing under his breath, leaving it fluttering beside him, and answering her with somewhat thinning patience. "I told you, I'm an Exorcist. I don't know what the hell a 'cosplay' is or a 'steam-punk,' and I'm not wearing a costume."
Then he looked at the cellphone again. Since his golem wasn't working, he supposed he'd have to use it...but it didn't look like a telephone to him at all, just some sort of thin, shiny box. "How does it work?"

[Petros was half inclined to let him be eaten. It would save a great deal of trouble. But then he'd never know what had befallen the madman, and curiosity had always been a great vice of his.]
[As the dinosaur turned toward new, hopefully less evasive prey, Petros rushed by, covering the beach as quickly as the animal's roar. He reached out to snatch the stranger by the arm to get him into the trees. Petros wasn't strong, quite the contrary, but his speed gave him enough momentum to fake it if he was willing to accept the bruising and strain that came with it. Even with a passenger, he was considerably faster than a charging tyrannosaur, and it wouldn't be able to maneuver in the trees.]
no subject
He really wanted to deflect the whole thing and just outright avoid it, but...he couldn't actually think of a way to get out of answering without making his situation even more difficult than it already was. The whole damn thing was just irritating, and it was getting harder and harder not to vent his annoyances at her.
"No. ...Do you? For that carriage you talked about?"
no subject
"Look, I am going to put some trust in you here, okay? Follow me? I will take you to Ben's house, you can chill out and I can get warm. We will call the cab service, and I'll help you look on the internet for what you need. I can even help you buy a plane ticket, and pay for the cab. Least I can do for giving you so much shit. But the minute you pull that thing, or that I feel you might hurt me? I have to tell you honestly that I will shoot you where you stand."
no subject
He gave a single nod of assent. "So long as you're human you're not in danger from me. If I draw Mugen it won't be against you." Coming from him, that was practically as good as a 'thank you': it was meant as a reassurance, something to put her mind at ease. He certainly wasn't above accepting her help; this wasn't the first time he'd had to rely on the aid of strangers, not by a long shot.
no subject
Which is why when someone someone just appears in her room, right as she's painting, there's nothing much to do except gasp in surprise and draw back. She's so shocked that she's not even scrambling up right this second.]
I found this thing resting in my spam trap for some reason. Sorry for the delay
So, she began to walk up the beach with her book and chair in hand. Walking slowly so he could catch up to her. After she listened to him, she was still giving him that 'what the fuck' look, because everything he was talking about was Greek to her at this point.
"Look, I really have no idea what you keep talking about. Nothing makes sense to me. We don't have ghosts or demons here, and if people say that they have seen either it is usually dis-proven. The only witches we have around are the one's who go green, practice spells that really don't do any kind of magic like you'd read in books. Things you keep speaking of I might find in a book, or at a cosplay, or used during a LARP or Renn Festival. So, you are really making me side-eye the fuck out of you, because you cannot be from this world!" She was saying it in a nice manner, but she also wanted to be very clear and frank about things.
Not to worry! Things have been busy on my end anyway!
"I don't know what the hell a cosplay or a LARP is. I wouldn't have expected California to be as foreign as this." That, of course, is the only logical explanation he can think of for all the strange words and phrases that she keeps using, but even that seems a stretch. He's actually traveled to places across half the globe--from China and Japan to France and England to the Middle East and back again. (Technically, he'd even been to North America once, but the circumstances were rather...odd, so he didn't think it really counted.)
In all those places, though, he'd never felt so strange, so out of place. He wasn't taking the comment about him not being from this world seriously for the moment, though. It seemed like just one more hyperbole to him--after all, what other world could he have been from?

This definitely wasn't one of them.
Sure, she was still in a tower, but it was nothing like her own, and definitely nowhere she remembers ever going before. How did she even get here--? It's then she notices Rapunzel, and suddenly horrified, Flora waves her arms in front of her as if to say 'No, no I'm not a burglar!!' ]
O-Oh goodness I'm so terribly sorry! I didn't mean to intrude!
[ She's not even sure how she got here in the first place. ]
Sorry it took so long. I'm totally not used to this length of tag
With a paw pressed against the cliff side, Amaterasu sprung to a tree, bounding from it the moment her paws touched and landed squarely on the ground. She let her fur fall flat before turning her head towards the strange girl again and proceeded to stalk forward.
Again, the animals didn't react so much to the Goddess leaping own amongst them in her wolf guise, but they did seem to watch as she approached the unfamiliar one. Even they never saw so a human before. They were curious what form of judgment would be passed upon the nervous one. Amaterasu's emotions couldn't be read presently.
It's all good! I just have the tendency to word vomit everywhere.
A dozen emotions flickered across her features following her rapidly shifting thoughts, all of them stirred by her sudden presence in this queer area and its strange wildlife, but her gaze didn't shift from the white wolf.
Fear still roared within her, the notion that this place couldn't possibly be anywhere within the game taking root within her mind, but she bit it back as best she could. She was scared, yes, but it wouldn't do her any good - not until she figured out just where she was and dealt with the rapidly closing predator before her. Perhaps she was simply dreaming? It wouldn't be the first time she imagined herself on some grand adventure as Atoli.
Regardless, she forced a smile as the creature approached - monsters in The World didn't bother her, not truly, but here every instinct was screaming at her to run - how different it felt to experience things through this body instead of through a monitor (or face mounted display as it were)!
"Um... hello," she repeated as she bent to a crouch, resting lightly upon her heels, the hand that had been fisted in her dress pressing flat against the sand to help maintain her balance. "I don't imagine you know where I am, do you?"
"You don't look like a Lucky Animal - so I don't think I should kick you. N-not that I like doing it, I think it might hurt them truthfully. But this isn't a quest area. Or any area that I know of really. I'm not even sure how I got here or where here is."
"I'm sure Haseo would know," she was chattering, but the words kept spilling out of her in a nervous tumble, "He always seemed to know what was going or what should be done to fix things. Even with my hand or when Sakaki... Well, you don't want to hear about that, do you, mister wolf?"

Jerk back and go for cover behind the nearest wicker furniture!
Not a burglar, huh? Even though this...woman (at least she wasn't a man with sharp teeth, right?) said she wasn't, Rapunzel wasn't born yesterday. She was pretty sure normal people didn't just appear-
Okay, she didn't know much about normal people outside the tower, but she didn't think this was how things went. And, really, as much as she wanted to see the world, this wasn't what she meant. Her dreams involved more her getting out of here and less strange humans coming in.]
Who are you? [...be careful, she had a- a paintbrush!] No, wait, how did you get here? How did you do that?
Sorry for the delay. I am finally feeling better!
She felt bad for how she had treated him earlier, but to be truthful? This whole fucking ordeal seemed to be a giant mess and complicated as all get out.
