The sound of a living heart caught his attention before any other sounds alerted Dean to the presence of another being down in the tunnels. Awesome. Just what he needed. There were no legitimate reasons he could think of for someone to be down there, which laid good odds that whoever or whatever it was, probably wasn't something he wanted to be involved with.
Then again... whatever it was, it was between him and his exit. Damnit.
He moved nearly soundlessly down the tunnel toward the sound of the heartbeats. When he was close enough to catch a scent, it was a fairly familiar one. Werewolf. He scowled. Werewolves were just about a vampire's worst enemy, aside from hunter humans, and Dean hadn't fed yet tonight.
Maybe he could sneak around it? He moved forward, hoping the wolf's night vision wasn't as good as his own.
