Life under the sea can be grand! Who doesn't like singing and leading men to their doom and swimming with the dolphins? Mermaids are in tales and legends from all across the world, but you don't have to limit yourself to just being just half fish. There are selkies and other creatures of the sea who sometimes come up on land or who are part human, and lots of myths and situations to explore. So come on and dive in! The water is fine!

[ooc: Either role. Prefer shippy type prompts, please! To be honest, I'm craving a plot where as a child, Evie almost drowns and is saved by a young merman. She keeps coming to the shore as she grows up, and they fall in love. I'd love for him to magically gain the power to walk on land and try to properly court her.]

An emperor fishman whose realm was destroyed and is searching the globe for survivors, other underwater races and/or a bride to continue his lineage. Plenty of opportunities to meet new people.

Character is female, does not speak in a human language and will find people very strange and possible aggressive. She is not Ariel looking for her prince. But a creature of her element so either she can be out of that and at the mercy of those around her or in it and at her advantage. ]

[Look at her name. She's the mermaid. She's a natural helper and mediator so if you want to go the direct route of her saving a drowning human, she'd do it. Same if you want to go the route of a young mermaid trying to settle conflicts. Or you could just hear her singing and she freaks out because please no audiences?

For shipping, just F/F but she'd save a male character just as easily so if you want to do some longing on their side that'd be fine. Gen is also good, too.]

[ Hen here has the ability to understand languages she can't speak (as per her canon), so perhaps Hen initially is sent to find and kill the mermaid in your typical fantasy game quest, but instead chooses to talk to the mermaid?]
