( caelan is a 23 year old drug addict and mutant. as a child she managed to kill everyone in her small town by accident, she was then captured and used as a weapon by a shady government organization. then when she reached 18 either her powers stop working or they did something to her (she has no idea) and she was dumped. she's since become a drifter, always chasing the next high to take the edge off how miserable she feels and cope with the guilt. she doesn't really care about figuring out her powers again. so someone trying to get her to figure that out or trying to actually be friends with her would be fun. )

( emily is a very normal, average and boring 17 year old tyvm (inspired by the best friend trope in a lot of ya fiction). she's best friend's with your universe's chosen one who's name is literally destiny because what is the universe? she has no idea how she fits in either in the normal world or the supernatural one. she knows that all of it exists but doesn't know how she can help and feels like one day her bff is going to leave her behind. she kinda just wants to survive until graduation. also she really likes houdini and card tricks. )

[Mac's basically this role in his canon - but he's the BFF of a genius inventor/ artist (Leonardo da Vinci if you're wondering).

I figure that in Emily's setting Leo teams up with Destiny - probably because a bad guy has stolen his brilliant designs that could be used for evil purposes, or maybe because one of Leo's genius plans resulted in a supernatural creature getting loose - whichever works. Meanwhile Emily and Mac trail behind their best friends and attempt to Scooby Gang it up? Mac's a confidence man himself, so they could have magic in common.

Happy to go with Emily's setting or just to make up our own, rather than ask you to transplant her into Renaissance Florence because Mac's canon is ridiculous.
