And maybe they're even nice to you when you totally don't deserve it! Whether your acquaintances would describe you as "soft-hearted" or "hard-ass pain in my ass," there's hardly been one as taken as you. Just looking at them makes you weak at the knees, and you think those butterflies in your stomach may be staging a revolt.

No matter if you're a grown-ass adult or a school kid, you'll feel...uhm, like a school kid. Of course, you probably shouldn't pull any pigtails. Instead, put those conflicting emotions to good use. [He knows her to be a friend of a friend's friend. A third party from another school they met with in a group outing since they were studying nearby. There was no hiding the goal of the whole karaoke outing, with equal numbers for both guys and girls.

Teshima hadn't expect much himself. He expected to have fun, sure, but nothing more than that. Still, when he sat next to her and observed how she acted around the others, he can't help but be interested. She seemed sweet, a bit shy but very caring, and while Teshima normally is the guy up on the stage entertaining everyone, he decides to sit out the third song for a chance to well... talk.

So that's how he ends up there, drumming up the courage to actually try to flirt by-- going for the safe route. Trying to use small talk to build up to it.]
