Gladiatorial Combat Meme!

Who doesn't like fighting? Characters, players, the heat of battle is a great place to gather CR! So we bring you the crowd. The rush of the scene, the thrill of battle or the sated daze of boodlust. Version 1.0, bring it on ladies and gents.

Location, location, location!

1. Space/Alien planet: Just what it sounds like folks. You woke up after the worst hangover of your life and you weren't in Kansas any more!
2. Rome: Who doesn't like the classics? Welcome to low tech and brutally unfair!
3. Criminal Underground Games: Could be in a city, could be in an abandoned barn, what matters is that it's illegal as hell, makes a profit of your pain, and the not-so-upstanding citizens pay through the nose to watch two guys with bats go at each other in a razor wire cage.
4. The future: This is legal, somehow! You may be a criminal with the option to fight your way to freedom, you may be the next best thing to a bleeding celebrity!
5. On TV: None of this shit is real but you put on a hell of a show!
6. Mix n' Match: Or choose your own adventure! Be creative little buggers!

Situations!

1. One-on-One: Fight your way to the top! Easy huh? Except when your opponent is, well, not a push over.
2. Group Smash!: It is all of you guys vs. all of those guys! Team up, smash things, repeat until your hammer breaks!
3. Fresh meat/Training: You've never seen the main arena, you arrived and you've been down in the training grounds since! You may be the newest punching bag, you may be a rising star, you still have to bow down before the arena winners!
4. Matinee special!: Nobody takes you seriously, you end up in fights against the local Nuns After Prayer club with weapons like rubber chickens and foam bats!
5. I'm an apprentice!: You arrived in the latest shipment of arena slaves but let's be honest you have arms like wet noodles and they'd feel bad sticking you in the arena. You are now apprenticed to the arena healer/doctor/sawbones/weapon smith whatever!
6. Decompressing: Life is hard as an arena combatant, sometimes you just have to unwind in your chambers under/around the arena.
7. Blue Plate special: There's just something about a strong fighter...you may be a rich patron purchasing a few hours of time with a gladiator, you may be the paid for combatant, have at?
8. Spectator:You are in the stands, lucky you! Do you know the person on the field? Did you bring a friend to watch the blood being spilled? (it's okay we understand the appeal)
9. Monster Mash!: Sometimes people just need to see others torn apart by vicious monsters. Lions, tigers, mutant gila monsters, they have teeth and claws and such and you have...hands. Lucky you.
10. Death Match: Oh my, can you kill? The match isn't over until you do. Two on two, one on one, are you hard enough to follow through?
11. Choose your own!: Same as above, have at and wreak havoc!

Her herb knowledge before coming here had nearly trebled in application, but she could do some good. Even here, in all this, she soothed some hurts, offered some aid.

Perhaps she was grateful to be on the sidelines, perhaps not...but now, now, she could not look. She hid shifting eyes behind dark hair and waited for the call of a battle ending.

So you're the fresh meat huh? [Dark Leonardo does not look impressed. But one does not survive the arena by dismissing someone so quickly, time to see what this girl is made off.]

[There's a six foot staff flying though the air towards you Saft.]

[Saft scowls at the giant turtle, She had been caught off guard and brought to this strange place. Nothing made sense - why would these people capture and then try to make a fighter out of her? The staff comes flying at at her and she manages to capture it with both hands.]

You're a big guy, why don't they make you fight?

They did, people got bored 'cause I always won.

[Those were the days.]

Now I'm stuck making sure babies like you don't fall on their own swords.

[And now Dark Leonardo picks up his own staff, no blades around the babies until they know how to dodge. Even if the staff looks much much smaller in his hands.]

[She throws the staff back at him.] I get a say in this and I say no, You can't make me into something or someone I don't want to be.

[ He catches that staff easily, and holds the two out one on either side of her head. You're lucky teaching as given him a slightly longer fuse than normal.]

[Dark Leonardo throws the staffs away and reaches to grab Saft by her shirt pulling her towards him.]

You are going to die and your family will never know what happened to you if you don't listen to me!

[ So it's nighttime now. Mitsuko has no idea which "zone" will be officially sanctioned off tomorrow morning. In some way that makes her a sitting duck. But she's afraid to venture too far out onto the island. What if she wanders into the wrong zone and gets her head blown off by the RFID collar? That aside, there's some loony walking around with a machine gun...and all she has to her name is this lousy sickle. ]

[ She draws a rattling breath. She darts from the shelter of the pine trees. Walks quickly across rubble-strewn streets. There's no way she's sleeping in the forest. She'll break into a house, find a bed. Maybe rig the doors, somehow, so she'll hear it if anyone comes in after her... ]

[ A small house. Windows unlit. Of course--you'd have to be an idiot to light the windows. Mitsuko pushes open the front gate. Jams her sickle into the western-style front door to tear it off its hinge. ]

[Saft flinches as she's grabbed by the larger person but glares daggers at him, She hates the idea of having to fight her way out of this situation but he does have a point. If she wants to get out of here alive, She'll have to toughen up a little]

So why is it you're still here? Besides training "babies".

[Dark Leonardo snorts.] Like there's anything out there for me.

So you ready to stand on your own two feet now or what?

[Dark Leonardo lets her go.]

Then you're ready for your first lesson. Pick up your staff.

[As she's set down on the ground, the girl reaches for the staff and picks it up in her hand, You might notice that just because she's a girl her hands exactly feminine or delicate Dark Leo, Her nails are pretty short and it looks like she gives them quite a work out anyhow.

There may be more to her than she's letting on. ]

[He figured that when he stood up to her without her knees knocking together. He picks up his own staff as he decides on a different lesson than what he was originally planning, time to start figuring exactly what she wasn't letting on.]

First lesson, hit me.

[With pleasure. You're kind of a jerk so Saft's not actually that worried about harming you So here goes, She's going to swing her staff at you with all her might.]

Itachi Uchiha had once fought for sport as a champion. But after the massacre, as a criminal, he fought for his life. Over time, his body began to weaken with disease, and even Itachi had to admit that soon, there was going to be a battle that he would not survive.

This, in all likelihood, was supposed to be that battle. But he was still alive when they threw his broken, bleeding body to the sideline... Just barely.
