The Highly Inappropriate Tension Meme

Touches. Glances. Sides brushing, so close to each other. The moment is, most likely, quite, subdued, and calm. Or it could be loud and full of life, right in the middle of a vivacious party. Yet, no matter the case, your blood is pumping - no, nearly boiling with the passion bubbling between you and your companion.

Unfortunately, this tension is completely and absolutely out of line. Whether it be the place, the time, your relationship with the person (be that literal relation or power difference, age difference, experience difference, and so on), your own lack of knowledge, or personal convictions, you should not act on any building desires.

But here's the thing about tension: it builds. It builds, and it builds, until...

Well, even subtlety can come to an inappropriate head.

[Prison. He absolutely could not believe this is what drove Nicolo to call him. He was going to have so much work to do after this little stunt. The fact that it wasn't the first (or even second) time, it was just the first time that he and Yusuf didn't have the funds to bail him out again, was even more frustrating.

The drive from his place in Silicon Valley out to the city proper wasn't that bad. But making it at this hour of the night was infuriating. But even then he could have dealt with it all. If Nicky had been even the tiniest bit apologetic that is. Strolling out of a holding cell with his own damned handcuffs still attached to each wrist, though the chain had been cut through by the officers, like he didn't have a care in the world?

That just has his eyes narrowing, still in a rumpled suit that very much gave him the distinct impression of a disgruntled professor.]

[He didn't just stroll out, he prowled. He was shirtless save for an open waistcoat that did nothing to hide the fact that he'd been shirtless for most of the summer. His jeans were tight on his hips and flared at his knees, the lack of belt letting the denim move just enough as he walked to hint at the lack of anything beneath. His hair fell to his elbows and he'd pulled it back into a loose braid and tied it off with one of the many bracelets that were on his wrists.

He was smiling as he walked next to the officer who was leading him out, chatting away with all the apparent gratitude of someone who wasn't going to jail.]

[OTA, castmates loved!]

[Kohaku isn't too sure what to expect when he shows up for his first rehearsal with Madara as a part of Double Face. While he feels like he's gotten a fairly good read on the older idol by now there are also some parts of him that are still frustratingly difficult to understand and predict. Of course he doesn't doubt for a second that that's all intentional; a front meant to keep people from getting too close. And although Kohaku isn't exactly interested in getting close it's part of his job to get as much information as he can, to prepare. And one can never be too prepared where a Mikejima is involved.

But he figures that there's no point in overthinking things, at least not at the moment. For now the best path forward is to just stick to the course and fulfill his role as best as possible. And at least as far as he can tell it doesn't seem like Madara is going to make things more difficult for him (at least not on purpose) so that's one less irritation to deal with.]

Madara-han, are ya here already? [He calls out as he steps into the reserved rehearsal room, glancing around for the man.]

[Of course it wouldn't do for anyone to see through the layers, but Madara even gave himself a good pep talk this morning about behaving and not taking things too far. This is a unit, and they have to make at least a slightly unified appearance.

He's sitting along one mirrored wall, looking at his reflection and doing passively practiced motions with his hands as he listens to their first song through earbuds. It takes him a moment to even notice Kohaku's reflection behind him, and when he does, he taps his phone to stop the music and pulls out one earbud.]

Are you late or what?

[He grins, enigmatic as usual, then taps his phone to check the time.]

Oh, nope. Right on time!

[For a moment he considers trying to throw something at Madara to get his attention although fortunately it seems like that isn't necessary and he's noticed soon enough. But that comment on his timing does make Kohaku roll his eyes as he closes the door behind him.]

Just 'cause Crazy:B's got a bad reputation doesn't mean I'm a layabout. I make sure I'm where I need ta be when I say I'll be there.

[He drops his bag against the nearby wall before approaching Madara with a tilt of his head.]

So what's the infamously solitary Madara Mikejima gonna do in a rehearsal with someone else?

["Infamously solitary" cuts just the way it should. Madara's smile doesn't falter, but it doesn't reach his eyes. He's used to slightly more basic choreography than this, and he's weirdly been practicing his ass off so he can show up and make this happen. Let Kohaku see the benefit of the determination of someone taking a leap outside of their assigned box.]
