You kiddin'? I got this brain workin' double-time, 24/7. Where the hell else you think I get these sick rhymes?
[As usual with Dave, it's all bluff and bluster. While it's true his thoughts are racing now, and were for a while before he finally drifted off to sleep, but like hell his rhymes are anywhere near the front of his mind. John's legs tangling up in his is definitely somewhere up there, though. It's stupid, but he's almost hyper-aware of that contact. Not even like it's the first time it's happened, but, hey, he never said that hadn't been the case every other time. and in the end, the only place that train of thought led was back to guilt.
When he steps back and thinks about it, Dave can almost laugh about how absurd it is. His case of "can't tell the dude you're making out with that you like making out with dudes" is completely ridiculous. His reasons? John might freak. Might think he's taking advantage of him or get scared off by the possibility of feelings, and really, Dave's just about as scared off by that as anyone else is.
The decision to tell John comes in in a split second. Well, not the decision to tell him, he'd made his mind up on that around when he'd figured it out himself, but the idea to do it now was a new addition.]
Guess you could say I got some shit on my mind, if that's what you're asking.
