A reasonable creature that has an exoskeleton and makes "buzzing noises" is also responsible for assisting in the creation of not only flowers, but fruits as well as other similar life, which are important for our continued existence as living creatures. Some also eliminate less desirable insects, like spiders to devour flies and other pests.

[Even an insect lover as himself can consider some insects "pests" purely for the fact that some do not offer useful things.]

But I can understand the dislike for ones such as fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes.

[It's a bit annoying when they gravitate towards him. But insects in general like to get close, anyway.]
