[Jack waits patiently as those questing fingers reach out, something cautious in Colin's movements that somehow remind Jack of himself. The touch of Colin's hand to his chest is at once electrifying and reassuring - he really isn't used to people touching him in anything resembling an affectionate way and he can feel the warmth of Colin's hand spreading across his whole chest, as though the glow itself is warming in response to that touch.

He can almost see in Colin's face as the reality of it starts to sink in, and that's reassuring too. The disbelief had been starting to feel a little personal, however much Jack could tell there was more going on than he realised - and that was the part he wanted to get to the bottom of, wanted to understand why Colin felt like this was so impossible.]
