[Just lmk if I need to change anything!]

[Isolation is splendid. Wonderful. Everything Alucard has ever needed at this point, and yet it is impossible to maintain. The world has moved on, and remaining in isolation has brought more threats to his door than two refugees from a single general's court seeking...well. How that ended. No matter that.

He was unaware of the stories that circulated beyond those of Dracula's death. Those of the wild hunt, lead by some horrid creature. A fae. A vampire. A night creature. Odin. Artemis. It varried, but some descriptions stuck. There was a woman high in their ranks of dangerous beauty, commanding so many horrid soldiers. A single prize, dragged in chains and enduring every hardship. Death followed their path along Wallachia.

Rumors grew. The hunt was returning to Wallachia, bigger than before. Styria was said more than once, and Alucard understood.

He was nor raised for politics. Why would he be? Dracula was immortal, he'd oversee Wallachia and what Alucard could do? He could fulfill his mother's greatest ambitions when she left the mortal world. Spread the science and knowledge that would hurl humanity forward. All the things she would not have time to do, and all while Dracula kept his castle and lands.

Alucard understands what needs to be done. His father's journals instruct him in who to contact, and there is a furious letter that arrives in Lenore's hands that between the lines reads quite simply fuck you and fuck off Wallachia, it is not without a ruler. Don't like it? We talk first.

So that's here. Now. Talking in the lands between. Hungary's chaos is focused only on the Ottomans and the political bulkwark of the Balkans, not on vampires. Not yet.

Alucard dresses as himself. Yes, the clothing is finer and of a higher quality, but he is still himself. No airs, no pretenses. Just Adrian Tepes, murderer of Dracula and by default, the new vampire ruler of Wallachia.

When he sits himself down at the long table between them both (very much a choice and a wise one at that), Alucard wastes no time. He is already exhausted and would like to go back to isolation, thank you.]

You're turning your armies around and you are leaving my lands be. Do you have questions regarding the matter?

[He had read what he could about Carmilla. Starting firm and with no bullshit seemed a wise place to start.]
