[I'm very into 3, 4, 5, 9, and 13 as possibilities. Mixing and matching them up could also work very well. Absolutely able to AU, but Perne's more the noble type of character.]
[Ukiuvak is a member of a non-human Arctic-dwelling people who have a lot of prejudicial hang ups and a skewed view of humans. He himself is both a border guard and someone with a personal reason to be wary of humans, since his brother was murdered by one, but he's a sap who will absolutely adore, protect and love someone who's gotten past that initial wariness.]

[ I'm very canonblind to FFXIV events but previous RP has me familiar with the worldbuilding/setting, so I'd be happy to transplant Sunny into it? In his canon he used to be what is essentially the head of all his lord's warriors, and because his lord was both sadistic and insane, Sunny has a kill tally a mile long.
I'm thinking something along the lines of him having moved on from that to Perne's family (?) instead? Sunny also has an ability that either allows him to go ham on violence or heal himself/others, but he's super rusty with it and can only do minor healing at will for now. Personality-wise, he's incredibly loyal, and as of late has been becoming more "himself" instead of a mindless attack dog. He's sort of rough around the edges instead of charming, though.

There's some charm that comes with serrated edges, and Perne has an appreciation for the unique. (Why enjoy something that's commonplace when she can find value and benefit in things that aren't run-of-the-mill?)
Perne has a family that's largely militia-based, so I think Sunny would fit right in, actually. Maybe he's a higher ranking official over her brothers or something like that? I could see his background working out very well, even AU'd into FFXIV world.]

[ Oh man, yeah! That definitely works! Sunny is, like, insanely good at what he does, and having come from a leader position previously, I'd say he has a fair amount of experience.

I actually think we can cover literally everything you listed except 5? And having read Perne's bio rn, it could be that he went with her to La Noscea, if you'd like? Honestly, with Sunny wanting more autonomy in his own life, I can see him inevitably wanting to support her being more ~free, somehow. (On another note, I really like the idea of her helping him learn how to read. v_v) ]

[Mainly novelverse but could probably pull off donghuaverse as well. I've only seen up to episode 15 of The Untamed but I might be able to manage LA up to that point. As far as characters go, I'm specifically jonesing for Wen Ning or Nie Huaisang to play against but I'm open to others as well! Canon divergence is totally fine but ask me first about modern AU, please. 9 is pretty much his default condition but I'd love to mix it up with other scenarios as well.]
