They ended up on your doorstep, quite literally. Bloody, possibly. Bruised, most definitely, though the wounds may be mental. You probably don't know them from Adam, yet you couldn't find it in you to turn them away - whether they wanted you to or not. So you opened up your home, just for a little while.

But it's getting to be more than a little while. Both of you are finding a comfort zone, because you didn't simply open up your home. Admit it or don't, but you've opened up your heart all the same.

Their's is slowly following, if its reluctant at all. Could this be...love?

[ Really, Chloe isn’t sure what to expect. Is it a Monday? Is this a joke? What is going on? To say the very least, she’s stunned, standing in the doorway and staring up at him. He looks exactly the same. Like he’s wearing the same suit he’d worn on the balcony of his suite when they’d said their goodbyes.

Words fail her, at first. ]

[ Each of these little ticks, Chloe’s registering them. She’s catching on that these are his ways of showing that he’s in unfamiliar territory. That he’s nervous and that he’s not his usual confident self. He doesn’t know how best to approach this situation or, really, her.

If he hadn’t pushed his hands into his pockets, she would’ve reached out to take them and try to calm the fidgeting. ]

[ Her arms fold under her chest as she waits for him to continue. ]

So now was a good time for you to waltz back up planet-side just because you wanted to see me? What was stopping you before? You know maybe, like, two months ago?

[ Pretty simple setup. Caster would have ended up on your character's doorstep due to the untimely demise of their previous 'Master'. (she's like a turbo familiar) She could have been covered in blood or just fading away due to the lack of 'mana', but thankfully your character was there.

Due to whatever reasons we can totally hash out if need be, Caster has now become your character's Servant dedicated to protecting them with her life. She also now aspires to be their 'perfect wife' even if they're not so receptive to her lovey doveyness.

But is this genuine, or is it just a ruse Caster puts on? For she still has yet to reveal her true identity, an identity that may change things forever. ]

You don’t need to apologize, Lucifer. It’s... [ It’s fine. But was it? Truly?

Letting the response trail off she moves to him, after a moment of hesitation. She still remembers his hand at her cheek, the warmth of his fingers. The kiss they’d shared and the sad, soft look. ] They didn’t really notice for a long time when you first came to LA.

[ Maybe it’ll be the same as back then. Maybe they’ll get longer than today or tomorrow or even a week.

Chloe reaches to touch her fingers over the lapel of his suit jacket, shifts the touch to the center of his chest to edge her fingers underneath it. A breath, and then she’s releasing it, feeling his heartbeat as strong as ever. He’s real. It’s not a dream or a trick. Her smile is a little shaky as she looks up at him. ]
