...While still carefully picking his way towards her, as if it's purely chance he's headed her way. Totally not carrying a book he picked out specifically for her to read, nope. Not him. He's a big scary monster, RAWR!

...He has to say something now...? Oh uh...He blinks at her, steps faltering as he struggles to find the Right Thing, which he's failed rather spectacularly at lately. Finally he just gives up and shoves the rare book towards her, looking furtively between her, the book, and as far from her as possible.

She shouldn't find him charming, should she? He is basically her warden, keeping her prisoner for some strange reason. Of course her "cell" is luxurious beyond her imagination, but she can't leave. She should be mad at him; not amused by him and definitely not attracted to him.

But he does have a surprisingly wonderful wit and he is amazingly well-read. Belle has never met a man - Beast? - like him, appearances put aside. And he is about to leave her speechless again.

"...this is..." Belle takes the book, her eyes widening in wonder, "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight?"
