Lindsey looked up, startled by the noise when he was already falling asleep. The blinds to his room were drawn firmly shut with a Do Not Disturb sign hanging out front, so honestly Lindsey couldn't have guessed who it was.

Until Dean's scent caught up with his drowsy state.

Nearly tripping over his removed boots in his haste to get to the door, Lindsey undid the bolts and chains to swing the door wide open. Even with the threat of sunrise making the sky pale behind Dean, he couldn't do anything but stare at his childe in surprise.
