Lindsey heard Dean, of course he heard the other vampire, but it didn't do more than to pause his step. He hesitated for a second too long before he looked over his shoulder, but by then Dean had already climbed back into the car and was no longer in sight.
Lindsey stared at the tail lights of the Impala and the otherwise empty road, feeling strangely lost. Before his feet could turn him back though, he clutched the things in his hands tighter and walked down the road again. If he was going to find somewhere to hole up for the day, he needed to get out of this backwater neighborhood first. There was nothing but farmland for miles aside from the freeway.
... how is Lindsey going to call? Wait... they didn't get rid of their phones yet?
