Wrapping her up was easy, limbs seemed to move on their own accord to bring her closer by any means possible. Whether it was arms curling around her waist, or the fact he moved his legs and positioned them in a way that allowed her to slot into him.

Everything came easy with her.

He lent his chin on her head, stroked a hand up and down her back even though she wasn't the one who needed calming in any way. The gesture was still there because it was comforting for him as well.

"Watching your ass is probably the best job Shield has to offer, I'm surprised people aren't jumping at the chance to take over my role." Not that he'd let them, it was hard enough watching her work let alone not being the one to cover her.
