[Days in Figaro were extremely busy for the young king. So busy, in fact, he barely had any time to himself and often had to dedicate late nights to poring over blueprints and scientific texts -- his only escape from the duties of running a kingdom.

He had gotten up to retrieve a new pot of tea from the kitchen himself by the time a certain pirate took it upon herself to sneak into his chambers. None the wiser, he returned with the tea, humming something to himself. Everything seemed fine and nothing was out of the ordinary.

Nothing, except the wardrobe door being left wide open -- a state he hadn't left it in. Edgar paused and stared, head tilted in thought.

Was Sabin back? No, he always announced himself, be it through his boisterous announcements or by the furniture shaking with every thunderous step he took. Locke never dared to come up there, especially so late.
