THE LOVE CONFESSIONS MEME

Confessions of feelings are rarely as nice and romantic as they seem in the Hollywood flicks. Sometimes, they're screamed across an empty house as someone leaves. Others, they whispered across white pillow cases as bodies lie close together in the dark. Of course, these feelings may not be returned, but it may be the only shot you have.

If you even meant to spill, anyway.

How to Play
- Comment with your character, putting your information and preferences somewhere in the comment.
- Comment to other characters. Roll the RNG to get your prompt, or pick one.
- Play out the scene and take it whatever direction you'd like.
- Be cute and fun or sad and depressing.

Prompts

1. Planned: You've been planning to tell this person how you feel, and you know exactly the way to do it.

2. Spontaneous: Uh-oh, it just slipped out! Maybe you weren't thinking, maybe it was a fight, but somehow, your secret's out.

3. Heat of the Moment: What's better than calling someone's name out in the trows of passion? Why, telling them you love them, of course!

4. The Last Time: You're coming clean with your feelings because you're dying, moving away, leaving the planet, going to war, whatever. Might as well when you'll probably never see them again.

5. Jealousy: You've seen the one you love in the arms of another, and you just have to let your feelings be known so they don't end up with the wrong person! Selfish, what's selfish?

6. Drunk: A drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts, so maybe you should be careful what you say, or you'll be telling your best friend you have the hots for her. Awkward.

7. Lie: You don't actually have feelings for this person, but you need them to believe that you do in order to use them, get something, or perhaps to not hurt their feelings.

8. Sweet: You confess...and they feel the same, and have wanted to say it for a while. Oh, how cute! Go on and enjoy your cute little romance.

9. One-sided: One of you confessed, but it's completely unrequited. Can you still be friends, or is that too painful?

10. Forbidden: Your love for this person is totally uncool - not allowed, even. But it has to be brought to light, preferably by you.

11. Unfulfilled: While you both love each other, you decided mutually that this can't go any further.

[Rihan had started to hang out with Kiku some years ago for no better reason that he had been close and he wanted to talk to someone. At some point during those years his feelings of friendship had grew deeper and without him knowing it he was head over heals in love. Now it was time to come out with it. He had even decided to say it under the blooming sakura to make it more romantic.]

[Being a god meant that you spend lots of your time with other gods and that could at times strain on Loke's nerves. It was few gods that enjoyed to just sit down and chat. One one of those days when he felt ready to explode he went to the human real. A great place to calm down and fate had brought him and Tatara together. They had became friends and he came over to have some fun. This day was one of those days.]

What do you feel like doing?

[Now, Kumagawa has not actually done much confessing in his time. Half-true declarations, idle statements about falling for some other underage girl -- sure, all the time. Habitually, even.

But of course, his first instinct when planning an actual and legitimate confession is to grievously injure someone, and, well. Maybe he should break that habit, he thinks.

His first (second) choice was to plop his elbows on Akune in the middle of judo practice and wonder aloud why no one has confessed to him since middle school, and maybe Akune's Amnesiac Woo worked opposite its usual that time? But then he'd have to go to judo practice, and being around physically fit people is so tiring.

So, he has chosen to follow Akune to his chosen lunchtime locale and plop his elbows on him there, instead. Step 1 complete.]

『Kouki-chan!』

[He is even trying to smile like a real person, as he looms.]

『I need a favor.』

[ Kiku, meanwhile, felt similar about their relationship, though he had no idea what Rihan was planning. If he were anyone other than the nation of Japan, he might have not kept his feelings secret for as long as he had. But he was Japan, he had a duty as a nation, and relations with humans... (or even half-demons?) always ended up conflicting with other relations. He had to make a decision, and soon. ]

Hai, they are quite lovely this season.

[ But for the moment, he puts his conflicting feelings aside to admire the sakura trees with his friend. ]

[Rihan looked over at Kiku and smiled. It was not only the sakura that was lovely. Not that he would say something like that without confessing first.]

They make you wish that they could bloom all year.

[ he doesn't exactly deny that, but he does consider it for a moment ]

However, if they bloomed all year, it would not be as special an event, I think.

...And, one would miss the chance to view the cherry blossoms blooming in springtime with a friend.

[ he looks to Rihan as he says that, wondering if Rihan will get what he means. ]

[So in some magical splintering timeline I guess Jumps and crew actually caught up with that jeep. And then didn't turn them in to the police for some reason. Whatever.

The point is that Akane is seated on Jumpei's couch in his shitty one-room apartment. It looked different during the day and not at midnight in the dark. Haha.

She is obviously very anxious, staring down and picking at the hem of her dress. Please no questions. It's hardly like she can logically explain herself without coming off as insane. Which ~~she is~~ he might already think she is.]

[Wow, this? This is really awkward. Like, Junpei spent the whole walk (and most of the ride, before that) up here counting bricks and translating the numbers into hexadecimal because otherwise he'd have to think and look at her and -- he isn't mentally prepared.

He still isn't, after he motions her into the apartment. ("So, uh, this is it. It's not much, but-- well, I guess you already knew that. Um. I'm going to go... over. Here." - before he made a beeline for the kitchen and stood there for ten minutes.)

After those ten minutes he's back with some water in cheap cups. He puts the plastic mug with his university's name on it (from a fundraiser!) on his cheap table and holds out the other cup (an old tumbler with chipped painted elephants all over it) ... casually.]

So... I didn't ask, [that's a theme around here isn't it] but I hope you're thirsty. -- Here.

I guess your right.

[The flower reflected on how life was for all creatures. They bloomed, withered and died in a endless cycle. It was a bit poetic and tragic when he thought of it.]

And I would also miss looking at them with you.

[ the cherry blossoms also symbolize death, which kind of adds to the tragic aspect. ]

And I, the same.

[ If he made his decision now, would it be the death of their friendship? ...He wasn't certain. It always seemed like an inappropriate time to bring up the subject. ]
