stage i; none, streets are already blanketed in white.
stage ii; very light and intermittent.
stage iii; light - moderate. lasts longer periods.
stage iv; continuous, heavy snowfall.
stage v; the hardest of cores - blizzards, snowstorms, you name it.

scenarios;

① fuck the police, this is the best time for a walk. hope you've got a nice thick coat on.

② stranded in the buttcrack of nowheresville? weren't you watching the time? now you've gone and missed that last bus out of there. or maybe you're lost, somehow. what do?

③ literally chilling, in this weather, is quite easy to do. sitting around relaxing in it is a wee more difficult, but sometimes much more enjoyable, especially if shelter can be found. the snow is beautiful to watch, after all.

④ the weather's not going to stop you. your snow fort's packed full of ammo and ready to go. those aren't snow angels over there; they mark where the poor souls you've downed have fallen. be careful with that snowman's head!!

⑤ you're about fifty miles from civilization but there's a roof over your head, so never mind the chilly draught, right? right. you mightn't be the only one lucky enough to stumble upon this little shelter, though. remember to share the blanket.

⑥ everyone stuck outside should be jelly. you've got a fireplace and hot cocoa and damn if it isn't awesome. a heater's not quite so romantic, but it'd do. there'd better be a backup generator in case the power trips.

[Chris stays perfectly still, watching the dog but taking care not to connect directly with his eyes, just in case.

As for his scent? Something like plants and nature, hints of no single animal but many, little more than a faint whiff you pick up more at the back of your throat; an unmistakable scent of life.]

[The talking catches him off-guard, but luckily he's able to keep from jumping too badly barring a brief bunching of his shoulders, before he relaxes again.]

Yeah, you could say that. It's not often I'm around more than a small handful of people; I'm usually out in the wilds with my brother.

Aren't you rogue types supposed to be good at tracking? [Okay, so Rebecca's not technically a rogue, but close enough. Archery is often associated with them. He'll oblige though, picking a path at random and beginning to walk along it, brushing the snow out of his dark hair.

He's silent for a few minutes before finally piping up again.]

Kaiba stiffened, only to look up as Pegasus took a seat right across from him, cookie in hand and a bite of it in his mouth. A small amount of icing clung to his fingertips.

It takes him a minute to shirk off the 'oh my god, I'm caught doing NORMAL things!' look, and compose himself. He sets the delicious cookie down on its napkin.

"I was just overseeing the unofficial winter tournament going on in the area. Nothing more."

Even though he's being calm around him, he couldn't exactly bring himself to talk openly, or even amicably. He then took that moment to pretend to ignore Pegasus as he stuck the tip of a finger into his mouth to lick off the icing on it. It's an embarrassing gesture, to be sure, but there's no sense in letting a good flavor go to waste on a napkin!

On the forefront of his mind sat both his allure to Pegasus, as well as the things that utterly annoyed him. But in the end, without both, Pegasus wasn't Pegasus.

I study animals. How they communicate, how they move and live, their very.. creaturenality.

Except for the part where she isn't laughing. Being queen is her right, one she's earned, but she also knows that Italy is not acknowledging this. Being forced to tolerate this treatment is a keen sort of suffering she wishes Henry could see, so that this man would soon learn his place. She finds it difficult to keep a grip on her temper. ]

Does your imagination give you leave to speak to royalty with such reckless abandon? You will have a care with that tongue, lest I find ways to free you from it's burden once and for all.

Hey, I'm just throwing stuff out there. [He seemed amused however, and was definitely willing to roll right along with being able to hear him.

A little shiver at a breeze that bit across exposed skin at the nape of his neck reminded him of their surroundings, and he lifted his head to look up over the top of the porch as a gesture, then back at the dog.]

Listen... I can understand if you'd be hesitant to, but.. do you wanna go inside where it's warm for a little while. You looked pretty cold when I first saw ya...

[Balto's ears perk up when he hears that, but then he shies back again.]

[ She moves without thinking further, steps sudden and somewhat jolted, not realizing how very stiff she had gotten simply trying to stand in the cold. Still quick, though most probably not quick enough, to aim to slap him.

Because there's nothing else that she can do, really, to prove herself without also compromising her own dignity and her sovereign's. Because this man is insulting her and getting away with it. And because he isn't falling in love at the mere vision of her. ]

[ there was no way the whizzing noise of the arrow cutting through air and land right by his side would be something to ignore. the object jolts him to a surprise, eyes wide and body frozen in place. just a bit more and that would have hit him.

The first thing that came to his mind was-- well, it was probably one of the older sons in the village that were apt to hunt. but was that a mistake or truly genuine? Just as Connor says "hey!", well, his younger self also holds himself to say something as well-- ]

Ahe--!! [ ah . . . ei. his exclamation is cut short, replaced with an intense stare and an air of uncertainty. the man wasn't familiar and neither were his gowns-- his first instinct was to run, but that only ends in a fall towards the snow. ]
