He's a fine King for a lot of idiots willing to throw themselves to fire to save one life rather than stop and think for a moment; but then that would require an ability to think. Not something the Aesir are particularly known for. [ He doesn't even care about Asgard anymore, about being in the All-Father's 'good books' and being 'worthy', about fighting with himself over what he should and should not do based on someone else's opinion. Doesn't care (mostly) -- he's just making a point.
