As the droid chirped an answer to Finn the grin lingered on Poe's face, although now it was half simply from observing the exchange. He knew BB-8 had been a little weary of the other man before, in the beginning, but that was long past at that point. There was trust there, even if it might not always seem that way from the droid's attitude. And Poe was glad for that, considering how much he trusted Finn. It would have been weird if BB-8 was standoffish while he was anything but with Finn.

"He's not saying anything bad. Just that he was concerned." Poe remarked. "Which I mean, he's concerned about my plans all the time. But they always work out in the end." Those words prompted BB-8 to look his way and the next set of beeps managed to hold a sarcastic tone. "They do!"

Chuckling, his attention turned back to Finn. "And you'll pick it up. It's easier the more you hear. I definitely didn't learn it overnight." It was true that their time was usually taken up with other, more pressing matters, but learning at least the basics of the language would be useful. There were always droids around, even if they weren't all as chatty as his. Poe was sure BB-8 wouldn't mind helping either, or at least he was sure that he could convince the droid to be helpful.
