YOU ARE DEAD
PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE
So as it turns out, you've died. Maybe you died violently. Maybe it was a freak accident. Maybe it was old age. It could have been any reason - but the point is, you're dead now, and your friends have come to mourn; your enemies have come to celebrate. The worst part of death isn't the one passing, after all - it's everything they left behind.
1. Post your character. Name/series go in the header. Method of death/canon point/etc can go in the body, if you'd like. 2. Leave your thoughts on people. What did you think of them? How did they affect your life? Was this person important to you? Maybe they didn't matter a lot, but you need to say how you felt. 3. The starting character responds to these thoughts from the afterlife; have fun with it!

He stands over the grave of one who thought he might challenge a god.]
Well, boy. Is this the hero's end you sought?

I am not the first, nor shall I be the last to bear the Triforce of Courage. Another will rise to put you and your stolen power in your place. The goddess' will and the story of Hyrule guarantee it.
Scar | The Lion King
Muroi Seishin | Shiki
Aang | Avatar: The Last Airbender
Hello there, bb <3
Tsk, tsk, tsk, Mr. Scar. I knew you'd meet your end due to such foolishness. Good riddance! I'd even dance on your grave, except that it's not worth sullying my expensive leather shoes! Hah!
Re: Link | LoZ: Twilight Princess
not knowing that this is a different Link than the kid she actually met in the Desert Colossus, she can't help feeling a little remorseful and even sad, as she thinks on the sacrifice that this noble young man made for the welfare of her land. ...Oh, and the rest of Hyrule, too.]Well, kid. Looks like I won't be able to thank you after all. But I've got to tell ya: You did good. I've even gained a little faith in men thanks to what you did for us. ...Just a little, mind you. It's just too bad that it had to be at the expense of your life.

Because really, the stories of the Hero of Twilight and of the Hero of Time are but only two repetitions in the same, never ending story that is the legend of Hyrule. The evil king of the Gerudo people will return, and another hero will rise to push him down.
The child from Ordon Village is no different than his predecessors, in that he's a soft spoken fellow. And he trusts that the Sage from the desert receives his mild smile of thanks, even if they cannot see one another face to face.]

Thanks, Aang. [A moment of silence.] Not just for saving all of us. But... for what you did for Zuko. He needed somebody like you.
[She places a single fire lily over the grave of the Avatar.]

I'm honored by the Fire Lady's words. But I wouldn't sell you short. You get him to smile a lot easier than me. And you help him to feel a lot more comfortable about himself. It's thanks to you and Zuko that... that I know the Fire Nation won't be something for people to worry about anymore. I'm so grateful for everything you've both done to turn the place around. It really feels like the place I knew as a kid now, before all that bad stuff happened. You turned out to be a real good friend when you stopped throwing knives at me, Mai, and if there's anything I could ask of you, it would be to do what you can to look out for Katara.

So you linger in this world still. Foolish boy. Was it not the gods themselves who granted me this power? The history of this and is written in blood. What you consider divine is merely the arrogance of a people you do not even belong to.

[Funny thing about heroin, the longer you take it, the less pleasure you feel. You just keep doing it to stave off the horrific symptoms of withdrawal that punish you for not doing it. Having had enough of that, he shot up to push back that impending withdrawal, packed his things, and went looking for somewhere that could help him... In his drug-induced daze, he got hit by a truck while wandering into the street.]

Why? Why did you have to be the hero? You idiot. I'll... I'll never forgive you for dying on me.

I have so much to thank you for, Iroh. You were always so kind to me.... to everyone. Even when we were enemies, you never tried to attack me, and I'm grateful for that. Because you're so strong, you really coulda got me. I guess that you... before Zuko joined us, it was you who gave me hope that there is still good in the Fire Nation. Ever since the war ended... I learned so much from you. But I feel like there's so much more wisdom you have I didn't get. I'm gonna miss you, Iroh, a whole lot. I know Zuko's hurting a lot, too. But... I'm gonna try my best to keep him in line for you, okay, old timer?
Why hello there~ Apologies for the delay!
Oh, I'm truly honoured you would come all the way out here in these primitive lands just to have a look at my remains.

Really, Midna, could you see me living with myself had I turned tail and fled? Had I left the part of the martyr to another? To you, or to Zelda, or to Rusl and his resistance team?
[A moment of quiet.]
This is... this is as the goddesses planned. I only beg that the Princess of Twilight can someday come to forgive me. [The sad smile widens.]

[If Ganondorf's taunts are affecting Link, he does not let it show.]
You were born a king, but that grants you nothing in their eyes. Not even the blade with which you struck me down is rightfully yours.

And it was you, young Avatar, who gave me hope for the world. And I know that neither you nor my nephew will allow the bloody history of the Fire Nation to repeat itself.
[He becomes more lighthearted at Aang's poke at his age.]
I know that you will remain a true friend for Zuko. The greatest friendships span lifetimes, Aang. And you must never forget that those who have passed are not truly gone from us. Not ever.

[The young Ordonian, trapped once again in the form of a beast, had been running so hard and so fast through the pouring rain that he was unaware of the exact moment the Twilight Princess's struggling breaths ceased, of the moment his friend succumbed to the light of his world forced unto her by the wicked man called Zant.
Can a beast cry? Link now stands still as a statue in the rain, ignoring the biting cold now soaking his fur. He's failed. He never fails, especially not at a moment so dire. He hadn't been fast enough, or strong enough, or wise enough. And now he cannot even begin to count his losses. He has dug a grave, at the highest point in Hyrule Field, laying Midna's tiny body to its rest. The Fused Shadow she wore like a crown is gently nudged from her head, now firmly planted in the ground as a makeshift headstone.
On a clear day, she would be able to see all of Hyrule from here. It is not her home, but it is a beautiful place. Link can only pray that she will come to appreciate it. He lifts his head to the sky, howling a slow and simple melody. A lullaby, comprised of only three notes that ring across the vast, rain soaked plane.
Though he does not know it, this is the death of a queen.]
