Feeling a bit old and more unusual than, well, usual, Bruce set the book aside, as clearly reading just wasn’t going to happen tonight. At least his name sounded better than Dirk Diggler, though thinking of that character and that film in context with the sultry tone Darcy’s voice had suddenly taken on just turned his mind in another direction, one he had been trying to avoid. Luckily she moved on and elaborated, smoothing over the moment pretty efficiently.
