The Trick or Treat Meme

Going door to door is too much work. Much easier to just set out a bag and wait for the candy to come to you....

HOW IT WORKS:
Instead of going out begging for treats, everyone has left a container for treats to be deposited in. SO:
♦ Leave a comment with your character's name/canon in the subject line, and describe the trick or treat container they left sitting out. Is it a boring plastic pumpkin? A fancy decorated bag worthy of Martha Stewart? Anything goes. (If your character normally wouldn't participate in this, feel free to pretend they were forced, or someone else did it for them.)
♦ Other people respond to your comment with a description of what their character left in the bag, whether it be a nice treat or a mean trick. This can be done anonymously, as long as it is still IC.
♦ Hilarity ensues...?

[Balthazar feels that he is already dressed for Halloween, seeing as how he's wearing a human vessel. In case there was any doubt, he's got a t-shirt that says "This IS my costume".

The bag he's carrying has an iron-on picture of a green-eyed, black kitten on a violet background. No need to make the obvious sexual jokes. He's thought of them all already.]

((Tricks are encouraged. He probably deserves them.))

Zouichi had left out a perfectly serviceable pumpkin-shaped plastic container on the doorstep. Just behind the container, however, some sort of animal lurked. It eyed the passersby with beady, suspicious little eyes, the top of its head just barely visible.

Watching. Waiting.

What's this? A cat wearing a stupid costume? Why, it looks like someone got the idea to put a lovingly-crafted and yet completely annoying Batman costume on poor Emergency Rations.

She wants to take it out on the world, but whatever beady-eyed, feathered creature lurks behind the pumpkin full of Not Food will do fine. She sneaks up, shoulders preparing themselves to pounce, tip of her tail twitching.

[For Halloween, the Joker's going as Batman, just to mess with people. The costume's not the greatest (he made it himself - it's like the Adam West Batman costume, but visibly patched together and covered in stains of some sort), and it's rather obvious that it's him from the massive grin on his chalk-white face.

He's got a plain burlap sack, but getting treats is secondary to freaking people out and/or robbing them blind, in his mind.]

Ankh's idea of a container was a mini-fridge with a note written on the door.

LEAVE POPSICLES, it said in bold, angry strokes. What the hell was he going to do with chocolate bars and lollipops? Nothing, that was what. If this worked out for him, he was going to leave the mini-fridge out on a permanent basis.

Alan chewed on the lip of the container with his beak, using it as purchase to pull himself up on top of the pumpkin. Parrot style.

[There is a container that is indeed orange, but it's not a pumpkin. It just looks like an orange ball with weird techy markings on it, and a hole in the top for candy.]

Like a furry bullet from a gun, Emergency Rations springs! Her teeth are bared and her eyes are alight with the hope of VICTORY.

[Sokka just has some warrior face paint on along with a cheap imitation battle ax and a wolf-head helmet, his bag is a bright orange sack with his own pumpkin face painted on it.

There better be some sweets to be had...or meat. Lots and lots of meat]

There seems to be a bucket that looks a lot like one of Ironman's masks only more purple and silver...

Hey not like Tony will complain right?

Alan screamed in anger and surprise, beating his wings hard to take off before Rations could tackle him. In so doing, he tipped the container over, allowing the collected contents to spill across the floor into a mess of hard candies, lollipops, candy bars, and a coupon for 50% off manicures at a local salon.

The commotion even attracted Zouichi, who opened the door and stepped outside to see what was going on.

Emergency Rations stops in her tracks and tries to demurely lick her paw, as if she were just sitting here minding her own business in a ridiculous costume when that clearly insane bird decided to attack her.

[Vincent has left a container out in a beautiful looking pumpkin bucket. He went for the opposite of what he was.]

Zouichi eyed Rations suspiciously, then began to pick up the candy and replace it. Alan landed on his back, glaring at Rations.

[Someone tosses a copy of Other M at the container and runs for it.]

Clearly, it is time to try and lay on the cute factor. Emergency Rations gets up and rubs against Zouichi's wrist as he replaces the candy. She even ever so slightly purrs and mews.

And casts a little glare at Alan, while he's up there.

[Koromaru has set out a somewhat tooth-scarred orange plastic bowl decorated with pumpkins.]

[Sitting outside his door is an actual pumpkin, charmed to reject anything that isn't chocolate.]

[An old pillowcase with sewn on patches is open and accepting sweets of all kinds.]

[A plastic pumpkin has a note pinned to it. It reads:

Now accepting any sweets.

In handwriting that clearly isn't hers, a plus sign and 'A good home for fish fingers and custard'.]

Zouichi pet Rations a few times, but it wasn't long before Alan made his way up onto Zouichi's shoulder, rubbing up against his cheek and looking as adorable as he could manage.

Zouichi laughed a little, ruffling Alan's feathers. Who was the cutest bird? (It was Alan.)

After a moment, Zouichi straightened and turned to head back inside.

[Well, he didn't normally dress up for the Halloween party at the firm but Lorne had decided that they should have a costume party this year. So here he is, wearing the most ridiculous fangs and vampire ridges he could find and a cheesy halo. Oh, and he'd looked up a spell to make his skin sparkle when the light hit it just right. No, of course he's not making a fashion statement about the new CEO. Not a chance. What's a fashion statement, anyway?]

[Martha Stewart could learn something from Michiru's tasteful, elegant, and quite lovely pumpkin-decorated basket. She also left a tray of fancy decorated cupcakes next to the basket, for any trick or treaters to take.]

[AND THEN THE BUCKET IS NOTHING BUT A SMOLDERING CRATER.]
