[Rush hour trains are an absolute nightmare, and the mornings are definitely the worst. Passengers cram into already overstuffed train cars in a massive crush, until there's hardly room to breathe from the press of bodies all around. For a high school girl like Hannah there's the added danger of hands squirming their way under short uniform skirts, which her friends have warned her about, but she doesn't think anyone could be so depraved as to try that in public.
Her focus is less on the perverts and more on the very real difficulty of staying upright with this many people pressing in on her. She is fortunate enough to find a place to stand in front of the seats, so she can at least breathe, but as the train nears the city, the surge of passengers becomes nearly insupportable.
