Peter’s leg was bouncing. Normally that bounce was all about the anticipation of getting able to go be Spider-Man once he was finished with whatever it was he was doing that wasn’t being Spider-Man. Right now it was all about a different sort of excitement and anticipation. He was next to Maggie, scrunched against her with his bag on the seat next to him as the Uber driver chatted away.
It wasn’t like he only wanted sex with her because that wasn’t it at all. It was just that seeing her in person during this visit to Chicago made him think about kissing her and sex and stuff a bit more often than normal is all.
“Oh, yeah, that’s a cool building alright,” Peter said with a nod to what he hoped was a comment about a cool building from the driver. Mostly he just worried about the fact that if he looked at Maggie she might know what he was thinking and get the wrong idea. Or maybe thenright isea, he wasn’t sure.
Rookie mistake. Never tell the driver it's your first time in the city. Unless you like talking to people, some people do, and that's certainly none of her business. Ubers aren't really her thing, mainly because she rarely has the money to take them. Usually it's the train or the bus, but if the length of the drive was killing Peter then a train run would have put him in the ground.
Margaret puts a hand on the bouncing leg. "Dude," she looks over at him with those dark glasses of her's. "You are lowkey making me anxious. And you're missing the cool buildings." Because he was, and that building was legit cool. Almost all the buildings in Chicago are cool.
While his turmoil is being expressed outwardly, her's is safely tucked down deep inside of her with the practiced repression of a master. There are other sort of fluttering anxieties that are batting around inside of her. If he'll enjoy the city, like her place, or if she had done and planned for a million other tiny things that seem to be necessary for his visit. Wizards are planners in all things apparently.
"Plus, we're almost there," she does not remove her hand from his knee.
(OoC: Would you be keen with a Sora, perhaps aged up a bit? Kinda thinking going with Goofballs if so, maybe after an adventure with Barbara as Batgirl?)
