[ Annette is nervous. Moreso than she's been in a long time, really. She's been beating herself up over her feelings and emotions for a while; months, to be exact... but there's no more trying to hide it.

A few hours prior, she'd called Kisuke to see if he'd be at the shop, telling him there was something she had to let him know, one of those but not-over-the-phone-in-person sort of deals. Now as she stood outside the shop, she felt her left eye twitch. Maybe she should just go home...

...No. No, that wouldn't do. That isn't the kind of woman she is! The worst he's going to do is laugh at her... or get mad. Or tell her he doesn't want to be friends anymore, at the very least.

Feeling her stomach lurch, she pushes the door open and enters the shop. ] K-Kisuke-- hn-- Kisuke? Are you here?

[ It's not that Annette never calls. They talk quite often in fact phone or person, she is fixture in his life. One that he is most grateful to have. So the call itself wasn't a surprise, her nervousness though has him worried. It took a lot for him to not just go right to her house. However she'd said she's coming here to the store, so here he waits.

When Annette opened the door, Kisuke steps out from behind the counter, smiling despite his worry. ]

Hey! Is everything okay? You sounded a little off on the phone?

[ With one hand he waves her inside. ]

[ No going back now, she supposes. She smiles, but it's a nervous one, as she steps into the shop. She has to keep herself from fiddling with her hands or her dress too much; honestly, she doesn't want him to think she's insane. ]

Hey. Y-yes, everything is fine, really. I'm sorry.

[ Her voice comes out as more of a squeak, though, and she's visibly paler than she usually is -- which is saying something, considering that she's virtually a ghost anyways. ]

I hope I'm not interrupting anything...

[ He cannot help but frown though only faintly at her obvious discomfort. A moment later, the expression is gone, replaced by his usual half smile. Kisuke walks over and ushers her further inside. ]

Of course not! I've always got time for you, you know that.

[ His smile brightens a notch as if to emphasize his words.]

Come on in. I can make us some tea.

Th-thank you.

[ She smiles at him again, nodding and moving into the shop. She tilts her head, blinking, before quickly shaking it. ]

Oh, no, you don't have to do that. If anything I should be the one making it for you. Really, you've taken this time out of your busy schedule for me. You sit and relax and let me get it , okay?

[ Busy? Now he knows something is wrong because he is notorious for well... getting other people to do most of his work for him. Kisuke tucks his hands, slowly, back into his sleeves. ]

It's all right. You don't have to.

[ He pauses, watching her for a moment before speaking. ]

Annette, is everything okay? I know you said, but...

[ Annette's cheeks turned a lovely shade of crimson at his question, and she quickly nodded her head, laughing nervously. ]

No, no... everything is... it's fine. I just really need to tell you something...
