There’s nothing like watching a movie, is there? It’s a chance to relax and have fun for a few hours. Whether it’s a romantic date with dinner and a movie or an outdoor film festival, it doesn’t matter.

You mean that people actually watch these things?

Dull? [Though Makoto likes the ones with elegant female leads and romances the best, she can't resist a good martial arts flick.] What kind of movies do you like?

They're show in the city. [Kamina City. It wasn't his style.] The crowds are annoying, so I never bothered seeing one.

[ Overstuffed couch, large bowl of buttered popcorn, and a Hitchcock film marathon. ]

[ Probably on a lumpy couch in a hot room somewhere. Jake is entirely too enthusiastic about whatever complete tripe he's got in the DVD player to boot. ]

[He's got a marathon going. Barbarella, followed by Showgirls and the entire Emmanuelle series. This is going to be epic.]

[And she's watching Lord of the Rings. All three movies.]

[All Star Trek movies plus Galaxy Quest (Because Galaxy Quest counts as the 10th Star Trek movie for Star Trek movie curse)]

[Overstuffed couch? Overstuffed with pillows that is, curtosy of Mr. Eames. Always a creature of comfort, and for him comfort isn't a stiff leather designer love seat but something to sink in, something to enjoy. If he's going to spend money, it's going to be on things he finds worthwhile--A Caravaggio perhaps, or bottle of 1869 Chateau Lafitte Red. The overstuffed couch will do just fine, and makes it necessary for Eames to sit close; another perk, given his love of proximity and metaphorical gay chicken. With one arm slung around the back of the couch, he presses play on The Birds and goes for a handful of popcorn.]

[ Couch? Check. Popcorn? Check. Action movies with a lot of heroic actions in them? Check. Strap yourselves in, cause it's a Schwarzenegger night. ]

[ Saber had surprisingly been quiet through most of the film (mostly due to the six bowls of popcorn she's gone through already), but when he does one of his trademark moves, Saber turns to face Shirou. ]

Are you capable of doing that? [ Awkward conversation starter go. ]

[ Shirou was pretty into the movie... up until the pec flexing. Once Saber asked him the question all he could do was turn to her with a flustered expression. ]

N-No-- well... I don't think so...

Why not?

[ If it was in a movie, then surely it was a common act by the men of this era. Unfortunately for Shirou, the Holy Grail failed to provide common sense for the time period. ]

Is it because you do not work out as much as he? We should work on changing that if so.

[ And because Shirou is just that foolhardy, he's actually flexing his arms and trying to make his pecs move. He's failing but that doesn't mean he's gonna stop any time soon. His pride was kinda hurt by the "work out" comment and if Saber is showing interest in this "Ahnohld" guy then surely if he could move his pecs then he'd gain Saber's favor! ]

Ah, it is not as easy as he makes it out to be then? [ Unaware that she might have encouraged him in that way, she'll lean back with the bowl of popcorn in her lap, rocking a bit. ] I wonder if it would be easier for me to try.

I-I don't know how he does it, but I don't think you should try and imitate it. It looks stupid anyways...

[ So Shirou's a little sour that he couldn't do it. So what! Let him drown his sorrows in whatever popcorn is left. ]

Most men in this country are well dressed, so how am I to know how they act when they are without their vestments?

[ Good luck getting that popcorn out of her iron grip. ]

[ Forget getting the entire bucket then, just skimming some off the top will do. ]

No, I was too busy trying to keep him from taking our heads off.

[ Way to be a prat. ] Besides, if he had, I might have found myself distracted so we are fortunate there was none of that going on.

I think everyone is fortunate he wasn't doing that. I don't think I'd be able to get that image out of my head. But the bottom line is that people don't normally flex their muscles like that.

Hm, I am starting to understand. It is the modern day equivalent to removing one's gauntlet and tossing it down onto the floor, correct?

I haven't seen it but someone told me Nyarlathotep was animu'd, linked the image and I lost it.

I play her in a SMT game, so the hilarity is amped up :D

All of the confusion. Nyaruko is the first Nyarlathotep adaptation I've seen that just baffles me.

I love it to death negl... All of the references they make are awesome.

Do they touch upon anything else of Lovecraft's?
