[ When Ezio is away for a long time on certain... expeditions... Cecil has worked out a little unofficial system of checking in on him every couple hours, just to be sure he's all right. He normally always answers, as though he understands why she does it, despite there never having been a conversation about it. It's not that she doesn't trust him to take care of himself; she just sleeps better, knowing he's alive and unharmed, and will come back to her soon.

It's when he doesn't answer her that her greatest fears begin to overwhelm her, of course. ]
