"Shit," she mutters, and it does make her steps quicken. He's probably right; that prickling in her skin she felt earlier is getting more noticeable, which means things are progressing faster than she thought they would. Which means the stress definitely triggered her heat early. And stress heats can kinda suck. They're harder to predict and they take longer to recover from because the body doesn't get the full time it needs to start storing up nutrients and preparing.
