( noooooooooooo "real talks" are not what they need! those kinds of things are life changing! especially, because usually they're things craig needs to hear, but doesn't know how to really put anything into action. when he was younger, things were so easy. he barely cared about anything and everything was just some fun adventure after another. then smashley happened. then the twins happened. then river happened. then the divorce happened. craig can say with ease that he never imagined his life ending up this way. he doesn't regret anything, though. he learned a lot being married and becoming responsible. even he has trouble lining the self he is now to the self he was when he first met king.

he laughs a little and ducks his head. probably no one in maple bay can do as many sit ups as craig can. he nudges king back. )

( he was about ready to fall apart by the time king showed up again. if he hadn't . . . craig wonders what would have actually happened. it's not something he likes to think about, so he kind of avoids it. what matters now is that he's learning how to manage all aspects of his life. it's not a fast process, but now that he has king back in his life. well. he's trying a little harder. so, he slings his arm around king's shoulders and drops a kiss against his temple. )
