Of course, she had to fall asleep while sitting outside, in the wide open "expanse" that was the front yard. She didn't mean to, but it was so quiet and there was only so many constellations that she could attempt and fail to find before she started feeling her mind wander and then once it wandered into blankness - it was all over.

The alarms that normally dictated that she needed to pack it up and head back inside and into bed, somewhere she was less likely to get shot or worse, had gone soft after she took her first look in months at the night sky. Then silent once she felt herself automatically curl up next to Miles. Entirely silent for the first time since this whole mess started. It made her body realize just how tired she was. She didn't even realize that her eyes had begun to shut.

It was hard to let go of the habit of finding peace outside. So hard. Harder when she realized that she remembered that she liked being close to other people.

Within minutes of her eyes shutting, she was completely down for the count.
