And she had kept an eye on the human, to make sure she didn't drown, and they got to talking and Mir had fallen...in loyalty with Konoka. Not unheard of, but she still felt some shame at the thought. A wild mermaid shouldn't feel any sort of affection for a human, not when she could swim away at any time. She'd changed so much since she'd met Konoka-she even wore clothes these days, and though some of them were little more than bikini tops, she had quite the growing wardrobe.
At least she could take some pride in the rich heiress having changed her own living quarters to be closer to Mir. That took some of the shame out of it, if Konoka had come to her as well.
