The Cat Ears Meme

So you know how in a certain series you're born with cat ears and they only come off when you lose your virginity? Well, this is nothing like that. One day you just suddenly wake up like this. all fluffy and cute (tail optional). Embarrassed? Planning to stay in bed until they go away on their own like some weird, supernatural cold? TOO BAD! Although you don't know how you got them, the one thing you do know for sure, somehow, is that they only come off with a kiss. So get out there and find a good samaritan to help you out!

[It's legitimately like just watching an oversized cat trying to fetch some dinner, Noctis hunched over the edge of the dock and just staring intently into the water. This would go by so much more faster if he just used the rod, but nooo, something about instincts and natural skills and blah blah he's a cat so who cares. Except he's not a cat, he just happens to have cat ears and a tail for some strange reason. He still doesn't get it. Iggy didn't get it, of course Prompto didn't get it either. No one knows how this happened, it just did, and Noct might be this way for the rest of his life and honestly it's not... that major of a change. He's always been a lot like a cat. Sleeps all the damn time, gets fussy when you touch him, picky about his food. Speaking of food, Gladio's stomach suddenly growls and he groans as he gives up on standing and takes a seat next to Noct.] Hurry it up already, I'm starving.

[The movement beside him jostles him slightly, almost enough to move his hand close to the water, but Noctis simply sways - he keeps his balance with his tail swishing behind him, too perfectly raising his arm to avoid dipping even his fingertips into the water. His eyes are wide, staring sharply through as a big catfish darts under the dock, startled by that slightest movement.

Swishing his tail a little irritably as he sees it go, Noct takes no care not to hit Gladio with the extra appendage. Thankfully, his hat covered his ears well enough, but his tail had to be free to roam to fish like this. What drove him to fish with his hands instead of his rod, he wouldn't be able to properly place aside from hunting instincts. He never had them like this before. It's worth a try.]

It was when Toudou and Shinkai had mentioned they hadn't seen sight of him the entire day that Fukutomi decided it was best for him to try to get into contact with his assist just to make sure he was doing well. He probably simply came down with a cold. His text received no answer, neither did his call. The only thing left for him to do was visit the dormitory and head down to Arakita's room, which is exactly where he stands at the moment, knuckles tapping against the door.] Arakita.

[There is nothing more in the world Arakita would rather have. This should be a cold. Yes, absolutely a cold. Except with all the yanking on ears and tail alike only concluding that they are definitely attached, Arakita instead holed himself up and slept. He slept like it was some crazy dream, he'd wake up fine the next day, he'd throw out his leftovers that he ate and call it food poisoning.

When his ears twitch to the sound of that knocking door, having initially heard the footsteps, Arakita begrudgingly stared at the edge of his pillow thinking fuck no. He's not opening the door. He's absolutely not. Fukutomi can't see him like this.

Maybe if he stays quiet, he'll go away. Arakita lays as still as possible, every nerve tensing up slowly until he's a bundle of bristling cat under his blankets and stares out his bedroom door where he knows the front door is.]
