Space did have its disadvantages and the lack of dogs was certainly high on that list. The woman next to him didn't dismiss his answer and he gave her credit for that. Surely he wasn't the first one, on any planet, to dream of going to space but from what he'd heard of the recent history of this world, space hadn't been anything anyone had much time to dream about. Still - it was nice to meet someone that was positive and encouraging about dreams. It made her a good person in his books.
