(Even now, with Sylar supposedly locked up tight and Gabriel back in control, his every slight movement puts Elle on edge and just the flexing of his fingers has her very aware of the charge moving beneath her skin. Ready to be brought forth at a moment's notice.

She supposes this says something about her own ability to forgive. He kept her alive when he didn't have to, saved her life with a simple touch, and yet she was fully prepared to send everything she had at him if she needed to. That didn't stop her from returning his smile, her own just a bit wider. She had years of practice in pretending to be happy. Or at least content)


I am a professional, and Noah's going to get what's coming to him, I promise. But he's going to be waiting for us now. Why not let him sweat it out a little bit?
