Jyn knew. And she wasn't about to complain that the level of contact was lacking, mostly because it wasn't. Their privacy wasn't guaranteed, and this was more than enough acknowledgement that she was here, and that he didn't mind her company, but mostly, that she was welcome. As long as she could offer the type of soft, gentle squeeze that spoke volumes about how happy she was to see him after such a long shift, she was happy.

"It's like he's got some sort of sixth sense, or something", she replied, amusement in her eyes and in her voice, although she was grateful that he hadn't actively mentioned anything, just assisted in finding a valid reason for them to spend a little time together. "He's lucky to have you."

This time, when she hummed, there was a clearly interested (not to mention amused) tone that hadn't been there before. "I don't mind at all, Doctor. You're not keeping me from anything important."

Nothing was more important in the moment than this. Even if it meant utilizing the office for activities that didn't really count as 'official'. You found your moments when and where you could - Jyn could hardly complain about that.
