[ The nanoticks that pass between her question and Shiro's affirmation feels like an eternity, because she honestly does not know what to do if he had said "no." The first gift had been a subtle warning over how disposable they are -- and ultimately, how disposable she is; and with each test, she learns -- and she had to learn fast. [ She looks to the left and down briefly, both to remember what had succeeded before, and to determine how the bracelet plays into the equation. It is the first time she had been given such a device. The others had either only come with chains, or a remote device she can hold -- not one she is forced to wear. She looks to his eyes once more, her own gaze pleading. ]

I will get you out of here. So please help me.

[ Allura knows she is taking a great risk at doing what she does, placing her faith on one answer and on the possibility of a common hatred for their enemies. None of her "gifts" could tout that they were from the Arena, but they are particularly brilliant at the things they do. She does not want to have to use the bracelet, and most of all, she does not want to have a life uselessly thrown away, Altean or not.

She knows he is very capable of killing her. Her shapeshifting can only do so much in the face of an experienced warrior -- the best of what the Arena has to offer. She wills her hands not to shake as she brings both of them up to undo the mask on his face. Clasps release upon registering her biometric signature. The leather collar follows, its unnecessarily weighty chain slithering to the floor. Soon her fingers trace the bindings to find their locking points, cords pooling about him, and completely releasing Shiro from their hold. ]
