They'd kept seeing each other, usually Karen going over to Erin's apartment after work, and just letting the chips fall where they would. So when Homicide needed some bodies on a case that required an overnight team and Erin met her at the hotel Karen just paused shaking her head.]

[She chuckled and walked with Erin upstairs to the hotel room they would be occupying for their shift. It was a simple job, keeping an eye on a witness next door, but she was happy to do it because better her than somebody pulled away from their spouse or family to sit in a hotel room likely just channel surfing. Once she'd locked the door behind them she commented.]
