This was a bad idea. Allison had just broken up with Scott and Jackson had just broken up with Lydia, but Allison knew that Jackson saw the way her eyes lingered on him. It had to create some tension. She was certainly feeling it.

Of course, there were bigger things than relationship troubles to worry about, but it only added to Allison’s frustration over smaller matters. The two of them had never gotten along famously, but god, somehow that cocky attitude was seeming more and more appealing.

She stood at her locker, pulling out books in preparation for her next class, but then he came into view and a devilish idea popped into her mind. In a hurry, her belongings were shoved into her locker and she took quick strides over to Jackson. Her face was devoid of any smile, giving the impression that this was a serious matter.

“Come with me.” The instruction came out in a firm tone and she grabbed his forearm. Jackson was certainly stronger that Allison, but she dragged him along with her forcefully as if it didn’t matter. She took him into an empty chemistry classroom and shut the door behind them. No one would see them here, not Scott, not Lydia.

“I’ve been…” She fidgeted with her hands. “I’ve been thinking about you a lot.” Allison found herself unable to look him in the eye right then. The urge to just grab him and kiss him was far too great and she needed to get the words out.
