SECRET relationship;

The fact that you're in a relationship with this person isn't public knowledge. Actually, no one knows about it except for the people involved. Maybe you guys are just private like that; on the other hand, it may be a necessity to keep things a secret from others. Maybe you're both team mates, and others on the team would give you grief, or you're not suppose to be dating, or you're not the type to usually date and you're only testing the waters. Perhaps it's the combination of you two, possibly an odd couple, that would bring some controversy or some teasing. Or, you know, you could not want to deal with friends and relatives being busybodies. Your reasons are your own.

Are you content with stealing moments to be together as a couple? Do you want to make your relationship known and the fact that you can't drives you batty? Remember, there are lots of benefits to dating in secret. You can be yourselves completely, away from prying eyes, and get to know each other better as potential longterm romantic partners. In a way, it's ideal.

Long days and trouble nights had started slow but now passed with speed now that winter had set in. True to his days before Thorfinn always kept himself busy. Between hunting and gathering, his attempts at blacksmithing with Cougar. He couldn't be idle, he had to be busty. At least until the sunset.

Everyday at sunset he made his way home. His home where his best friends lived with him. More he lived with them but he didn't quite get semantics. Making his way through the snow back home he had the pack hidden under the long fur cloak draped around him. Looking like something from the past heading towards his future.

His future was a ray of sunshine that shone even in the dark. A bright flame that burned even in the coldest night. He knew where that brilliant head of blonde hair would be as he made his way inside. Tugging his boots off and unpinning his cloak throwing it on the couch and tossing his bag down on the couch as he moved to the sitting room.

"Good evening Jo." He had missed her through the day. Sometimes keeping anyone from knowing was a challenge. How could he not grin every time he saw her. Not kiss her soft lips at every chance. It was hard, but it made the nights more worth it.

Jo's home early, but everyone knew she would be. She's been out a few days for the map and she usually takes the days after a little easier than her normal ones. She runs herself too hard out there, trying to get as far as possible on as little time and back just as fast. She doesn't trust this place, and there are candles at both end, that losing, or not being there, matter.

She's lounging at the dining room table. Sitting in one chair. Her bare feet up in the chair across from hers. All blacks and whites and gold, from her tank top and pants in their designated colors, and pale skin, that defies any heat this place has, from red to pale and back again, and her hair everywhere around her shoulders.

There's one of the books wide in front of her while she's writing notes.

Or was, given the way she was leaning back in her chair, staring upward, before her eyes had shifted as he walked into the doorway and her field of vision, a smile creeping, slightly crooked, across her lips as she looked at him.

"What am I even supposed to do with you?" Her eyes crinkled a little at the corners as she took him in. Winter wear mostly removed, but snow still flecked in his hair, melting in the bubble of warmth the house tried to stay. "You look like you brought a mountain in with you."

Thorfinn was never fond of her exploring and mapping, but he kept those concerns to himself. If he knew one thing above all other things... it was that Jo was more than capable, she didn't need him to hold her hands for anything. She could handle it all. It was one of those ways that she was so like Ylfa.

But, he no longer liked to think about their parallels... it kinda made it weird for him. In fact he doesn't speak about his family much at all anymore. Almost let he had let the past go and was just living for the now.

The sight of Jo replaced in that chair was almost breathtaking as he reached up trying to brush some of the snow out of his hair. Grinning like he had just been caught doing something he shouldn't. "The mountain wouldn't fit in the house." He spoke as if she meant literally, but his grin showed he understood he was just being contrary.

"You could come sit by the fire with me, or join me for a bath. It is quite cold out, even for me." He admitted as he made his way the rest of the way over, tugging his gloves off to toss them by her book and offer one of his chilled hands her way.
