Humming in consideration for a moment, Winter nods at Jasmine's warning. "That's about right. It's well and good to train expecting to need it, but it's not good to go looking for trouble. Whether that's running into expected danger, or pushing yourself too hard because you think it's important... you have to take it step by step." Not that Winter was exactly practicing what she preached either, but that had come with the territory, in the beginning. By the time training was even feasible she took it together with actual work.

"And despite that we did indeed need to come save Jasmine that time," she continued with a sidelong glance to the one-winged young woman in question, "that's not necessarily a bad thing. Even I've been in over my head, as cool as Lily tends to make me look. What matters is understanding your limitations, having a plan to cover them... and knowing how to get around them, in an emergency. Does that make sense?"
