He doesn't want to be disrespectful, though he doubts the other man will care. It's an interesting thing, rising far above your station. Krem himself as a mercenary had a far better life now than he did in Tevinter, on the edge of slavery or starvation before he had joined the military. He wondered what it must be like, suddenly having all those eyes on you, expecting brilliance and experience far beyond your years and humble beginnings. It would be too much to ask though. Perhaps later, but for now he just settles into a walk, easy and calm in a hope to at least give the inquisitor what he wanted in the far, quiet halls of the hold.

"It's like the rumors that start to circulate when the chief comes to town. He sleeps with someone and then the whole place is abuzz. You should hear some of the things they come up with. None of it is for polite conversation." He could probably ask him about it, the chief that is, get a good laugh out of the both of them.

He shivers as they pass a window, glancing out to look at the snow falling again, nodding at the question. "It's not as warm near the border, but it doesn't get like this. We're in the mountains...even traveling the chargers aren't usually marching in snow. Makes me wonder how your lot do it, the Dalish I mean. All I can think of is huddling around a fire with an animal skin trying not to freeze to death."
