[Not to worry. DW has just seemed generally drunk for the past week or so. Guess it's getting an early start on the holidays. We're going to be visiting my folks down in GA, so I'll be in your timezone from X-Mas Eve to New Years Eve btw! (And giraffe is totally one of those words that I wouldn't know at all save for this chart! lol)]

"I don't believe that it is simple," Aurus said, though without any ire or defensiveness. He could appreciate the difficulties that Charles was working with conceptually, even if not from first hand experience. Perhaps what he was saying was merely a matter of semantics--the question of whether it was better to talk about these challenges in terms that focused on difference or ones that focused on similarity. Regardless, he did not push, instead continuing on towards the house once more.

As for the rest... "Guilty as charged, I suppose." Aurus would not for a moment try to deny how blunt he tended to be, and he really couldn't blame it entirely on a racial propensity. (It would be very interesting, he thought, to see how Charles' opinion of him might change in light of seeing the bluntness of his kin.) "I can at least honestly assure you that I will try, and that I will get better the more I learn of your world. I have, after all, been here less than twenty four hours."

He thought for a moment and then proposed: "You have what looked to be quite an extensive library here. Perhaps tomorrow, you might give me something to read--anything of your choosing. I enjoy philosophy but also history or whatever books of lore you deem most worthy. I will read whatever you select. Perhaps from there I can start to judge my conversation topics better."
