It wasn't hard to accept that building a real understanding of this history would take a good deal more time than this short walk back to the house, but Aurus was also the kind of person who would want to know.

For now though, he paused to clarify: "How long ago did this war end? And do you believe that members of this sect--these Nazis--have power in this land now, as we speak? Do they have the ear of whoever it is that holds the seat of power in your government?"

It was actually becoming hard to tell just how distant or how looming the threat really was at this moment, and if it was indeed as immediate as it was starting to sound, then Aurus would quickly change his tune on the imperative that Charles ought to gather allies and fight now, not some time in the future. (Aurus, after all, was not from a place where fighting was something delegated to others. It was something one undertook to do oneself.)
