[That's actually both sad and adorable. I imagine they just want to be unnoticed sometimes when your life is constantly being filmed/photographed, but you also don't want to disappoint fans... I can't even imagine having to deal with it. Also that tea-cup bit made me giggle. That's sort of even more adorable somehow. I also remember being my family's remote when I was very, very young!]

Getting to actually surprise Aurus to that level was almost childishly gleeful for Charles. He had a grin wide on his face, sitting back and just enjoying getting to watch the range of emotions that crossed the sylvari's face knowing full and well that had been his expression at least once since Aurus' arrival, more than likely multiple times. So he let the other try to figure it out for himself, first, and waited for the inevitable question before he puzzled out on how to explain.

So, carefully, he explained what he could of photography. Chemicals and light affecting the chemically treated film, creating a negative, the creation of the positive, and that television was the same thing simply much faster, recording things that could be broken up and sent as transmissions instead of physically. Very complicated stuff, no doubt, but while they had the time, he would go slow and answer questions as he had the knowledge of it. He was a bright man but certainly didn't know everything about photography and broadcasting, after all.

"In the end, it all has to do with light and electricity, which perhaps is about as foreign to you as your magic is to me."
