Straightening, Adam crosses around the desk as MacReady stands up, putting it between the two of them. Status feeling a little more "quo" again that way, even if they'd literally just come out of a conversation that didn't make either of them want to strangle the other too hard. World's full of surprises, isn't it?
After a moment's pause, he silently moves the coffee cup on MacReady's desk back to its original place before taking a step back. But those papers are going to have to figure themselves out.]
