[It'd been a few months since the war ended, and the peace and prosperity that Corrin had sought was really starting to become a reality. There'd been a few bumps, as with anything, but trust was starting to bloom. The royal families spent a good deal more time together these days, working to build trust in their people, often going out into the countryside in pairs in shows of unity. That's what this trip ostensibly started as, Hinoka visiting one of the many communities in Nohr with their youngest princess. She hadn't really known why Xander and Ryoma had thought to send her instead of Takumi or Sakura but she'd shrugged and gone along without complaint. Elise was sweet, and if a little bit soft that was alright with her. She was funny and energetic and so confident these days.

The first day of visiting farms and mines and other places had gone well, and they'd retired for the evening to the manor house that apparently belonged to the Nohrian princess as a get away. Dinner had been a pleasant affair, and their retainers had all split off for the evening, leaving the two princesses in two bedrooms joined by an enormous balcony. Great glass windows were fitted with doors that would let them out into the warm, late summer air and look out over the garden, hedge maze and all.

It's there that Hinoka found herself after a quick bath, a loose robe wrapped around herself. Turning at the sound of a door opening, she smiled to Elise.]

It's a nice place. Thanks for the hospitality, Elise.

[ It had been Elise's meddling, actually. All it took was an easy few words-and only a half lie, at that!-about wanting to get to know Hinoka more. She and Sakura were fast friends by then, and while she seemed the likely Hoshidan Princess to bring along, well... Elise had an interest in Hinoka that wasn't altogether appropriate.

It was Camilla's fault, really. After all, she'd exposed her younger sister to it-how fun girls could be. And while Elise was definitely attracted to Camilla sexually, she couldn't really muster a romantic interest-whereas Hinoka's combination of brashness, strength, and dedication to her family was certainly enough to make sure Elise had developed a crush. The next step was obvious-seduction. Which is why Hinoka had been brought *here.* And if tonight wasn't enough, well, there was going to be an 'accidental' breaking down of their wagon that would keep their party in the village a while longer.

Unlike Hinoka, Elise was still dressed-something she quickly realized was a misstep, considering Hinoka's state. On the other hand, the view was nice, with a good look at her muscles and a hint of the slight curves belonging to the redhead, as well. ]

Of course! I'm just glad you were able to find the time to come out here with me-it's important that the people of Nohr see that most of what they know about Hoshido were lies my father told them.

[ Despite the fact that he clearly wasn't himself in the end-and might not have been as long as she remembered!-it still hurt Elise a bit at times to mention it. But she wasn't really here to talk about Garon, was she?

Moving out on the balcony, she stood next to Hinoka, probably a bit closer than she needed to. ]

[None of what Elise had in mind would've even been a glimmer in her imagination, simply because she didn't think like that. She enjoyed the company of men and women alike, but lovers had been few and far between. Hinoka nodded in reply, not really noticing the proximity, and therefore not minding it.

Her hands gripped the balcony lightly, and she looked down, regarding the younger woman with obvious affection. Statements like that meant a lot to her, and while it'd been a long and bumpy road for her to really accept that Nohrians could be trusted it had happened.]

Well, of course. You'll just have to come to one of my villas soon. It's about the right time of year for peaches to start blooming, and I think you and Sakura might have fun there.

[Her attention turned back out to the view, eyes sparkling as they took in the sunset. A picturesque lake, the valley floor and the village arrayed out before them a few miles down the mountain, and the sun just rolling down below the horizon made quite the sight.]

It's like a painting. I can see why you'd build a manor up here. It's got an amazing view.

[Shifting slightly, she drops a hand gently down onto Elise's shoulder, giving it a friendly squeeze.]

Thanks for sharing it with me, Elise. I'm grateful. And I had fun today. This has been a great trip so far.

[ While Elise had a *very* specific meaning in mind when she said that, it definitely wouldn't be hard for Hinoka to take it a lot more innocuously. That was going to be the challenge, wasn't it? She'd have to be pretty damned obvious to actually make any sort of progress.

Pressing slightly closer to Hinoka, the blonde took a moment before continuing. Maybe innuendo-so long as it was clear innuendo-would do the trick? ]

I think I'd be more interested in seeing flowers bloom with you.

[ That... okay, she really needed to work on this, didn't she? If that went entirely over Hinoka's head-and it probably would-Elise would have to rely on being more blunt. ]

[She absolutely did take that innocuously, smiling pleasantly and sliding an arm around Elise's shoulders, taking her into a one armed hug with her eyes focused on the horizon. Elise seemed so affectionate, and it was nice, considering her own family. Takumi and Ryoma were hardly the hugging sort, and Sakura was so skittish even around Hinoka.

The statement garnered a chuckle, the redhead looking down at Elise with a wry smile. It did go a little over her head, but not completely. She wasn't totally oblivious to social cues like flirting, after all!]

With me? Are you sure about that? I'm not all that much fun around flowers.

[Not quite a rebuff, though. She was alright to play along at least a little, since she's not sure flirting is what's going on.]

I hardly know a thing about them. You'd have to teach me.
