[ She's afraid of the demogorgon. She's afraid of the upside-down. Naturally. That's how all this had begun, after all, with darkness and screaming and fear, strong and loud. Eleven knows that the monster from the other side is her fault, that it was taking people (friends, Mike's and Nancy's friends) was her fault. It is her fault, rather, and she feels the guilt prickling at her when she tries to sleep in the makeshift space Mike had created for her. She curls into herself, curling her hands over her ears, as if this will keep out the accusations from within her own head.

Sometimes she utters a whimper or too, but that is no way to be strong. Feeling sorry for herself is easy, but it won't bring Will Byers back. It won't stop the creature from disappearing more people into the upside-down for its dinner.

Knowing this doesn't erase her being afraid, though. For a girl with abilities that can save or take lives, Eleven is still a girl. She's overwhelmingly a child with a child's nightmares and mindset. When she passes through the Hawkins' sleepy, unassuming forests, pausing to listen to the wind through the dried leaves, she sees shadows. Hears danger. Clutching at the fringes of her tattered dress with her heart in her throat.

I brought this here. I need to make it go away for good. ]

[ Her face is all over the news. Albeit, her face, with different hair, no glasses. And Holder has bigger things to worry about than a missing woman, even if the case has taken up a very particular part of popular culture.

The sky's red, warming the dim glow of the lamps that filters out from the motel out onto the little pool out front. Amy leans against the fence, a cigarette in her hand, a kerchief tying back her mousy brown hair. There's still a bruise under her eye, though she's mostly forgotten about it. It's something she only remembers when she smiles too widely, the muscles still sore, aching to remind her that she's paid a price for her current anonymity.

Granted, she still doesn't totally fit in, even if she thinks she does. Not the way Holder fits in, anyway, gray on gray on gray in this gray little town, hoodie pooled around his shoulders. But that's nice, in its own way. A different set of colors than the one of the man on so many TVs, now, asking for the public's help in getting her back. Nick Dunne, with the liar's chin.

She makes easy small talk, weight leaning on one foot as she rolls the ankle of the other, a sort of mirror to the way she tilts her head as she listens to him. ]

So you're a cop?

[ (Her regular voice. She gives up on the fake accent before coming into town.) ]

[ The city was no place for wildflowers, but there was something about it today that drew him within, beckoning ever so gently. A familiar presence. The streets were nearly empty for him to roam as the rain was just beginning to let up. The cold clung to the fabric of his clothing, soaking wet, but did not hinder him as he pressed on, eventually approaching a park full of sakura trees in bloom. Their song is like the one heard in his dream.

And the presence that stands among them is Helios, which he remembers so very well. Everything is as it was before, like the dream, but now as he steps forth Noa no longer knows what will happen. It had all ended so abruptly. Now he stands before the other, curious rosy eyes peering through wet strands of snowy white. ] ...It has been so long. [ In so few words, Noa admits to how much he's missed him. ]

[ There are times where one might consider him confined to Elysion, a willing prisoner of sorts who never strays far from where he is entrusted with protecting. To Helios, however, he sees it differently. Elysion is beautiful, a place that needs to be protected and so along with the Earth and the Prince whom he watches over, he remains there and by no means against his will.

Today, however, he is not within Elysion. Rather, he is out within the city though not in the center of it where nature and the beauty of it all seems to dwindle the further in one goes. Instead, he is somewhere more quiet, more hidden amongst the hustle and bustle and he smiles as he watches the cherry blossoms dance around in the wind; even they seem to be happy here.

It's when he senses Noa's presence that his thoughts are pulled from the reverie in which they had been drifting off into and he smiles to his friend, flowers in hand, seemingly picked from the ground around them given the dirt that still clung to the ends of them. ]

Ah, it has, hasn't it?

[ Hand extending, he holds the small bundle of wild flowers out to the snowy-haired boy, a smile gentle as he does so. ]
